Never heard of this character before. Those ultra tiny buttons on her breast looks like nipples.

She is a character created by Edger Rice Burroughs who created Tarzan originally. She comes from the princes of mars and warlord of mars comics and books. They were created originally in 1912 around the same times as Tarzan,

Dejah Thoris made her way here this week via Dynamite's Kickstarter... I ended up getting one of the artist's proofs, offered as a bonus for participating in the Kickstarter. I have to say, despite the ignominous start of this line with the Vampirella misfire, the WoD series has been amazingly good, and this is probably the best one yet... she is brilliantly executed and is the perfect embodiment of Campbell's female esthetic. I'd say the only difference between the production piece and the prototype is the greater orange cast to her skin, which closely matches the previous Dejah Thoris in the lineup. I couldn't be happier with her (and her cat) - thank you Dynamite for continuing to make these statues fantastic. Here are my hero shots of her - enjoy!

Looks good, I have this on order I like her character a lot and J Scott’s work.

Considering how disappointed I was with their Vampirella and Purgatori, Dejah Thoris came out great!

I dont' know....she's a bit of a tramp.

Read the books. What she’s “wearing” is more than she, or any of the characters, including John Carter, are described as having on (concessions have to be made for book covers and comics). Mars/Barsoom is hot, so aside from bits of jewelry, the inhabitants are naked. If an honest interpretation of those books were made we’d be bombarded with male and female full-frontal nudity.
