I am all up for Del Toro directing Deathly Hallows! Pan's Labyrinth was just so amazing, and with the last book being the darkest he is the person for the job!

I remember reading that they wanted him to do Prisoner of Azkaban, but he wanted to do Hellboy instead. But he would :rock directing Deathly Hallows. They could cut out all the forest nonesense and make it a great, dark movie.

There better be two movies for that last book. It's too long and everything is important. Don't ruin the entire movie saga by cramming or cutting important stuff out.

Hell yeah, I definitely agree. The need to just pull a LOTR and film all at once, then release separately.

I think Deathly Hallows should be two films also. One for a summer release and the final for a Christmas release. Close enough to keep it alive and important, but long enough to make sure everyone has seen the first half.

I completely agree with everyone. This needs to be two movies and Del Toro would be a perfect choice for the look and tone this movie needs to have.

If Spielberg doesn't want to do it then Del Toro is a good 2nd choice. I doubt they'd do as 2 films though.

It won't be two films, in all reality if you really wanted to get in depth Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince could have been two films each but they are only one.

I'd love Del Toro to film actually over Spelberg, I think that Del Toro would create something that really made it feel magical and while a fan of Spelberg's I don't think his take on the HP world would be as dramatic....just my two pennies.

Well with OoTP and HBP, OoTP was just filler information that could and was left out; with HBP, almost everything is important. I'm curious to see how they make HBP.

Awsome news, that would be great!!!:rock:rock:rock If Del Toro don't get the job, i hope it's either Spielberg or they bring Alfonso Cuarón back to do it.

I also hope they get John Williams to do the score.

I had read somewhere (can't remember where) a year or so back that Spielberg had expressed interest in the films. I had hoped that he would be approached for the GRANDADDY of finales....not that others couldn't do it, but I think he could make it magical (so to speak). I think del Toro should be approached for at least the first Hobbit instead.
