Is it just me, or do people from other countries always think Australia is like a tiny island? You're right, if you flip Australia verticly, it's pretty much the same size and shape as the US (minus Alaska & Hawaii).
What do you mean same size as the US? The US is approximately ...... i think the number is 6 ...... times bigger, but we aren't the tiniest country around!
Area - comparative:
slightly smaller than the US contiguous 48 states
Yeah, It'd probably take about 6 days there and back!
Yep, QLD. Cairns to be exact! There has been on-again of-again proposals of an IKEA here; personally I'm for it - if it means I can buy my detolfs!!!!!

The detolfs are ikea exclusive, so it would be them or no one i would say, unfortunately
I'm not sure that I'd hold my breath waiting for one - Sydney used to have 3 or 4 IKEAs, it now only has one - it seems they're cutting back. I guess your next option would be to look for something similar at one of the other discount furniture stores, like Fantastic Furniture, or Freedom, or similar?
It's always great to see the success of the Australian schools system
**Now before you mention IKEA, I should tell you that I live nowhere near one of the 3 IKEA's in Aus. I also asked the Logan one if I could order over the phone - they said no......also, there is the whole ordeal of oganising a courier to pick them up from IKEA; ie. IKEA isn't really an option**
