Has anyone seen this movie?
It is pretty good movie. It's about some film students who are making a horror movie when a zombie outbreak occurs. One of the students takes a camera so he can document the events. I was skeptical at first about watching it because of Cloverfield, but this one was done really well and not all scenes are shot using a hand held camera giving you motion sickness, as a matter of fact none were. They used high end cameras to film and they did it well. I believe this is a Romero film and is supposed to occur after Dawn of the Dead.

Thought it was awful. It was boring and had very bad acting.

Cloverfield being a similar type movie, was much better.

It is a George Romero movie, and happens early on in the zombie outbreak, similar to Dawn or Night, though I don't know if he intends for this to exist in the same "universe" as his other zombie movies.

I actually did not like this movie at all, and I love all of Romero's other zombie flicks (including Land of the Dead). The actors weren't very good or likable, it honestly wasn't very well made from a film-making standpoint in my opinion (though that may have been largely intentional, given the whole "student film" vibe), it lacked drama and the pacing was off, the story wasn't particularly interesting to me, and it really seemed to lack a lot of the sub-text and symbolism that made his previous movies great.

I was extremely disappointed, particularly since I had waited with bated breath to see it from the first day it was announced (in fairness, my expectations might have been way, way too high). Cloverfield can't touch most of Romero's other stuff, but it is good for what it is, and it blows Diary out of the water, in my opinion.

I loved it! Romero is Awsome, how can anyone NOT love a zombie movie made by Romero, he is the king of zombies...I really liked how they played on the whole blair witch idea-filming your own bloody end! :lol great stuff. Nothing like Cloverfield in my opinion-zombies vs a lamo monster you hardly see? no contest.

i didn't think it was that bad. of course it is a zombie movie so what were you expecting before starting it??? the amish farmer was a badass!!!

:lecture I actually just saw this last night on my DVR.
I'd also add that the character writing was as bad as the acting. Besides that, the choice of a Bow and arrow and the Prof. surprising incredible marksmanship stretches credibility, and the recreation of the beginning scene at the end was too slapstick.

Okay for a generic zombie movie, horrible for a Romero zombie movie.

Watched it once, was not impressed and will likely never watch it again.

Being obviously low budget, I thought it was pretty good. It was a reprieve from the gorier zombie flicks and the camera work was much better than the over budgeted motion sickness inducing flick Cloverfied. the acting was poor and I thought they explained the bow weilding prof pretty well.
I thought it had symbolism as in the whole world was using Youtube to spread survival tips.
Think about it, we wouldn't use radios to get news if we were confined in our homes by ravenous zombies, we would hop on the net in 2009. I think it was a clever way of doing it.

I will say one thing that's good about this movie, some great Zombie kills and special effects from the boys at KNB!
Loved the acid brain melting scene and the kill at the very end.

I am a *huge* zombie and Romero fan and that is why I was so disappointed in this film.
It was very sad for me...
