So I just bought AVPR on BluRay. Sorry if this was brought up before but holly hell this is cool to me. There is a seperate disc that you can transfer the entire film to either your PC, MAC, or IPOD! :google How cool is that? Mainly the Ipod part. I had to DL all kinds of crazy software and spend tons of time converting movies. Now it just works! Is this the new standard? I am very pleased about this! :banana

A lot of movies are starting to do this, so it is not so new. The Family Guy Blue Harvest DVD (Star Wars spoof) had the digital copy as well and it came out over a month ago.

Non of my other BluRays have such a feature. How many other movies have this then since so many are jumping on board?

Yeah, it's a fairly new thing but this is not the first high-profile release to feature it. I AM LEGEND had it recently as well.

FOX had been the leading studio for this, but others are jumping in now.

By the way, the upcoming RAMBO Blu-ray and DVD will also come with a Digital Copy. :rock

Awesome.

One note to folks though, this operates like any other purchase via iTunes store. I only use iTunes so that's all I know.

Basically, you can only play it on iTunes where your personal account is loaded, it's like a free purchase of it via iTunes store, you actually get a $0.00 invoice.

At least, that's what happens with me as I have an account, don't know if you can redeem this without one or not.

Do you have to buy a special version? I own I am Legend and it came with no extra disc. :dunno

Probably. I bought the standard DVD of AVPR and there's 2 versions, regular and bonus digital disc version. I believe the Blue Harvest only had it on the deluxe box set, not sure about that though, I got it so I have the digital copy.

I have the BluRay I am legend. I only buy BluRay now. It has no such thing. That's why I am confused. I checked all of my BluRays as a matter of fact and this is the only one I can find that has such a feature. So I then checked Amazon and other sites and I can't find anything that says I am Legend has this feature. :dunno

Yeah, I think it was with the 2-Disc Limited Edition.

EDIT: That's weird. My friend's DVD copy of I AM LEGEND has it (but mine does not... I just checked). :huh I'll have to ask him where he got his. Perhaps it's a Best Buy exclusive or something?? They do crap like that all the time.

Yeah I can't find it either. I am now stumped. I looked first thing on this DVD because I was hoping to load it up for vacation. I like that they have this feature but at the same time it would suck to have to hunt these things down.

Hey Badmoon...did you watch it yet? My BR copy seems even darker than it was in theaters. I had heard there were some defective copies that had this problem.

I watched about a half hour or so and it is very very dark. So much so that I turned all my lights out and changed the TV settings. I must admit though that I have a projection HDILA which is a nice set but not good with extreme black and whites. Everthing else is really nice. This movie is really dark and black so it doesn't look so crisp. Still a fun watch though and it takes nothing away from it.

Irish! I figured it out! It is on "I am Legend". However, it is not included in the BluRay version. It is on the 2 disc regular DVD. As for the movies that have this feature. I can only find a few. They are Upcoming Rambo and Juno movies and Hitman and AVPR.
