Which is great for the people pre-buying it now on Ebay. They'll have to HOPE it actually gets sent after that 45 day window has closed....

Haha right?! I hope they at least pay with PayPal for some kind of protection.

DOH... I figured November was too good to be true.

Agreed. I don't mind it. I'll be between moves and can have it delivered to the new house!

One just sold for over $400 on eBay. :thud:

Said it before, but when SSC made it possible for people to buy multiples they handed flippers a nice early Xmas present.

Damn! $400?! That's ridiculous!

I think it's a mixture of the price $39.99, the edition size (200), the event (spook) and the lack of an actual "kit" this year.

At $400 it's temping to everyone to flip I think. Naturally, I'll be holding onto mine!:yess:

I hope they make an egg every year, it'll be a cool spook treat!:lecture

I think to get that price you'd have to sell to worldwide. Sellers who list only for the US won't get those crazed European collectors, who are ready to throw big bucks to secure one.

Even so, I'm guessing we might see a few more of these little guys up for auction soon...

I`m one of those european collectors (not crazey) ordered mine for $29 but think I will hold onto mine, think what it will be worth in 200 years time,I should be able to retire in style.

Europeans do not believe they are so crazy:cuckoo:. I am European and I honestly do not give more than $ 100 on that little statue:mad:. I have a pretty big collection from Sideshow Dinosauria, but each statue was bought at the right price and time. Please do not generalize !:gah:

Probably a fake auction to pump up the price, don't believe everything that happens on ebay.

It looks legit but I can't believe somebody really paid that much for it... yikes.

And I will agree with robomorph in the fact that I seem to get way higher prices for things when overseas bidders get in the mix. I never thought it had anything to do with being crazy though I just figured it was good exchange rates. :)

Hey, I'm European too :) And as an eBayer seller for over 8 years I can tell you that European guys definitely will pay a lot more for their statues. Why? Maybe because they're not so easy to get outside of the US, and maybe because European guys are used to having to pay more in the first place thanks to customs duties and taxes. It's just the way it goes.

As for 'crazy', shall we just say 'very keen' instead? ;)

Nice collection and video btw :clap

The auction that went for $400 was relisted by the seller with the following note:

"This is being relisted due to the fact that the high bidder on the auction is a typical loser on ebay that likes to thrill bid with no intention of buying. The guy bids twice in 25 seconds at the very end of the auction and then claims he bid the wrong amount. As i said, typical loser"

Something to keep in mind if you're thinking of bidding above $200 on one right now.

Can you block people from bidding on your auctions?

The re-listed item sold for $350.

sheer crazyness. If thats really the price its going to end up being I'm sure glad I got two. One could make a GREAT spook contest prize next year. :)

Yes, but this only keeps repeat offenders at bay. Something of an exercise in futility, given the vast numbers of people using eBay for nefarious purposes.

But anyway, if the $350 deal really goes through, it's pretty impressive.
