I'm looking to get the starter kit for 360, any retailer sell them for lower cost than the big stores brand new?

Edit: Nvm went through Amazon for 59.99

Yeah, I was going to suggest Amazon as well. I got my daughters kit through Target when Target was selling them for $59.99.

Found two of the Frozen sets at the Target by my house LOL. Ending up buying the both. Anybody wants one at cost ($32 with VA sales tax included) plus shipping from VA, PM me.

So I bought some series 2 discs for my kids, and I got the Mulan Khan horse...which (unless I'm mistaken) according to the Disney Infinity website is a series 1 disc. Was this just a manufacturing error, or are the different series inter-mingled?

I was wondering if anybody was interested in doing a swap / trade program for power discs? I've been doing the trick of scanning the discs before opening them, but I still have a few doubles - all from Frozen.

If you have Facebook there are a couple great trade groups on there. Best one IMO is Infinity and Beyond presented by Vinylmation Kingdom.

I have a few duplicates also. Let me know what you are looking for. I might have it. :)

I don't use Facebook, but PM me a list of the extras you have. My kids don't have too many as we just got started, and it might make sense for me to buy extras from you instead of hunting them down.

Target is having a buy 2 get three sale, in store and online. You can even pre-order Phineas and Agent P and they'll be included in the deal. I know the Phineas and Agent P will be a Gamestop Exclusive next Saturday, 3/14, but it's cheaper this way...but we don't get the power discs that come in the pack, plus we'd have to wait until April.

I'm so new that I don't know how to use the power discs lol. I got a pair with the Frozen set and 1 shaped disc with the Starter Kit but all are hexagon shaped, not circular? :dunno

Newbie here, too. There are circular discs too that go under the characters that improve the characters abilities (for example, we have two Tron discs that allow the characters to level up faster). The hexagonal discs either change the appearance of the Toy Box or give you props (i.e Stitch's blaster).

If you haven't doe so already, I'd suggest registering on disney.com/infinity. The iPad app is pretty fun as well; my kids love it.

Thanks for clarifying. I did register on Disney but have only played on Xbox. I see you can download the game to PC - does all your game data transfer over seamlessly?

Not certain, as I haven't played it myself yet. But if you've been entering the codes on the characters, they'll show up on the app or PC version.

The disney.com/infinity site is mainly useful for their forum as well as being able to see what discs are in a series..

That was my next question - where do you enter the codes? In game on the console I see nowhere to do this. I'll have a gander at their website I guess since I have a bunch of them to use.

Edit: Yep enter codes on the website :lecture

Every series has a different barcode. I recommend making sure that it matches up with what the scanner says. Chances are, it got mixed up. Toys'R'Us online actually has the numbers for each of the series I believe.

ok, trying to find out a little about this Disney Infinity thing. My daughter loves Frozen and I thought she might like this. She is 5, would she be able to manage the game? Is there any difference between the game consoles? I have both a PS3 and X-box 360. Do you play it with a controller, or use the move/kinect? Thanks for any help.

If you get it just for the Frozen characters it might not be so fun for your daughter. Anna and Elsa do not have their own playset and can only be used in the Toy Box. Which while fun takes time to build one. Unless you have the Xbox or PlayStation hooked up to the internet than you can download pre made Toy Boxes which are also pretty fun to play thru. The game is played using the controller.

I got the Elsa figure yesterday and I have to say she is pretty fun to use. She can freeze the enemies in the game. I haven't gotten Anna yet so I don't have an opinion on her.

If you have anymore questions just ask and I will try and and answer them best I can. :)

My daughters are a older than your daughter (8 and 9) and they love the game, especially Anna and Elsa; I'd say they use those two characters 75% of the time when they play. They haven't really built their own worlds in the Toy Box feature that much (similar to Little Big Planet) but they've downloaded other people's Toy Boxes as well.

As far as the console, I've heard (unofficially, of course) anecdotely on other forums that the PS3 version is the best version to get. Once you get into this though, be prepared to drop a lot of moolah, especially if you want to get all the characters. Luckily I was able to get eight characters through an Amazon BOGO sale (should have bought all the ones taht were offerred...D'OH!), and Target has a Buy Two Get One free sale this week, allowing me to complete the collection (with the exception of the Cars set). I'm not even going to attempt to get a full set of the Power Discs.

Hopefully, Avanlanche and Disney will release more playsets (especially Frozen) for the inevitable Disney Infinity 2...as well as making it compatible with the original game.

I play on Xbox and there it's played with the controller, sorry I do not know about the Wii. The Starter pack comes with the cd game, 1 power disc, 1 play set piece, 3 Infinity figures, and the Infinity Base which plugs into the console via USB. You swap out figures depending on which you like to use in game simply by placing/removing them from the base. Very, very easy. Hope this helped a little lol.
