i don't know if it's just me or i'm just not that handy type of a dude, but i can not seem to hang display shelves on a wall properly or more like to my satisfaction. maybe i'm missing something here, but whenever i tried twice it doesn't seem to hold very tight.

If you're hanging IKEA Besta's I found the easiest thing to do is pick up one of their Besta Suspension rail kits for 10 dollars. You basically just mount the suspension rail level on the wall and with some included hardware you can hang the Besta cabinet right onto it's ledge.

Here's the product: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10124585/

hmm, i might have to try that then. thanks for the knowledge bro. so, you just attach that piece to the wall and then just hook the besta straight to that rail?

The suspension rail kit comes with 3 or 4 small plastic corner pieces that you screw into the corners of your besta unit on the back. Very simple install. These pieces hook directly onto the suspension railing :)

Thanks man. I got it done a couple weekends ago and took a couple crappy cell pictures until I get my shelves a little more full (LOL).

Those shelves look great, I am going to have to do something like that. What is that Batman statue you have there.

Thanks everybody for the kind comments! I did use the suspension rails and they made everything much easier as far as mounting went.

Its a 1/4 scale custom that I managed to get ahold of. I think it's "name" was The Bat.

very nice. Looks like a modified ARH Ultimate Batman.

Here is a quick pic of the PAX I put together over the weekend. I used the AULI door frames (which can be bought by themselves, without the glass/mirrored inserts), and got some full height acrylic panels made. The acrylic panels were pretty cheap, as there is a local plastics manufacturer where I had them made (i.e. no shipping). the total cost of the doors was about the same as if I had bought the complete system from IKEA (i.e. with the frosted glass or mirrored inserts). I am pretty happy with the finished look.

The space beside Wolverine is reserved for Deadpool!

That said...my besta is for sale...anyone in the Edmonton area interested?

Thanks, man. Here is the link:

I bought the frames by themselves for $160 CAD. I just left out the middle horizontal support pieces, and used full height acrylic panels. The acrylic panels were $170 total for the pair.

That's around $155 usd...why are they charging $225 for the frames at my local Ikea's here in the US? Can you post the specific article number please?

I will see if I still have the sheet that I wrote it on later today.

But, when you go to ikea (at least at my local ikea), there was a section that had all of the different sliding doors all set up together. Next to them were printouts with the article numbers on them. It said on there that the Auli doors "come in three boxes so make sure to pick up all three", or something along those lines. Well, one box is the frames, and the other two boxes are the inserts (mirrored glass or frosted glass or whatever you choose). I just went down to the warehouse and asked for only the one box with the frames...for some reason the door frames were a "full service item" so I had to wait for the staff to go get them for me.

So I bought a single tower pax, Hulk fits in just right, but optimus doesnt :rotfl :lol o well

did you get the wrong depth? even the smaller pax (see mine in the photo below in the small pax) will fit the optimus base perfectly both width and depth.

I got the widest and deepest single pax, its the width thats the issue, the doubles must be bigger :)
