Bypass track similar to this stuff: glass door hardware.

I haven't yet gotten the weight specs on the glass to determine which track will work best - really heavy glass would benefit from a track with ballbearings.

Anyone in the SoCal area looking to upgrade their display? These cases will be available soon, lights included.

Could someone help me identify whats the name of this Ikea bookcase:

It kinda looks like a Besta but has 2 columns and the glass doors look like they came from a Billy bookcase. As far as I know they never made any full length Besta glass doors. Any ideas?

It is a Besta as I have a couple with the full length doors. They discontinued the doors a while ago.

Has anyone seen or own any of these? Apparently they are new but I haven't been on Ikea's site forever so they are brand new to me:

NORNÄS Glass-door cabinet with 2 doors - - IKEA

For that price I'd get one that has 5 tier glass shelving and made of iron from IKEA. Which I have but it's not 12" figure friendly though. I had to remove a glass shelf to accommodate one of my behemoth statue. So it's pretty much a waste of $.

I have figured out a cheap and easy way to add extra riser shelves to a PAX using the existing peg holes using any depth shelf. First I bought these pegs from Home Depot. They are metal pegs with plastic flat pieces attached to set the shelf down on. Much easier to use than any of the other pegs I've tried. I am changing out all of the stock Ikea pegs with these due to ease of moving shelves around.

Then I bought these square balsa wood sticks/rods from the local hobby shop. I cut them to fit exactly over the aft and middle pegs, sanded the ends, then spray painted them black. I used blue tack putty to hold them on the pegs. They're very secure like this. It allows for space on the back of the shelf to use the metal stiffener (prevents shelf bowing) that I talked about earlier in this thread (post #454 https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/...ibles/113791-display-info-46.html#post6743115). I don't own a table saw, so I brought the Pax shelves to Home Depot and had them cut them for free. I then spray painted the cut edge black. This way you can have large statues in front and add skinny shelves behind it at any height you want. I feel this is better than drilling new peg holes because you can move this up or down without further modification to the cabinet. :)

Has anyone done anything to the holes left by the cross members not being used on the PAX doors? I was thinking of getting some flat aluminum bar and countersinking screws into then, then the frame to hid the holes left. Anyone else?
