Distinctive Dummies GENERAL DISCUSSION!!

I've noticed everytime a new DD figure is released their is always a new topic...but it's better to just make one general topic for this group!

I recently received their newly released MEGO Candyman figure. 1/8 scale and $85 shipped I believe. The company packs their figures really well. Even so much I had to open the clamshell because they wrap the figure in bubblewrap! He'll go back in his clamshell soon. He's really cool, but my only beef with the figure is the color they chose for his fur. It's definitely a brownish orange instead of tan. Not sure what happened there. But this is my first DD figure and it's really HIGH quality. The fabric and material they use is top notch, and they nailed a Tony Todd MEGO styled look. His has a white undershirt and a white "scarf" or whatever it's called. I'm not familiar at all with customs but his body is tan, which I guess is normal since it's covered by clothes. Overall I'm impressed.

thks! saw that, does look good. im bummed im so late to this company cuz would have got the pennywise mego for sure. hoping they will do a 1/6 ver.

amoktime has kurt instock now, a lil more pricey than via DD direct tho. 150 total including shipping i think.

Martin's stuff, whenever it rarely comes onto the secondary market, always sells out immediately...no matter the asking price seemingly (if within reason). A Dracula Lee figure he did just went up today on ebay for a BIN of $300....and it sold before I could even get the scratch together to buy it. Astounding. I guess I wont be having the ones I missed. Ever,lol.

Its not necessarily that it isnt popular. Its that NECA already did a version. Its been my discovery that a character sells slower when there has already been some collectible merch made of them, or if they are a newer character that hasn't caught on yet....like in the case of Sinister. Thats why Fright Night and Kolchak were instant sell outs. Very little of each license has been made. Never as figures except for the first DD Kolchak in 1/6 scale.
