So I got a PM from STEEL today saying that I was back tracking, and kept asking for pictures. Which no one else did. He also said that I tried to negotiate pricing with him. He said that he was looking for offers!!! He said that if I wanted the figure bad enough that I should've offered him more money and not drag it out for so long.

Basically he had blamed me for him selling to someone else.

#1 I did not back track at all. We had set a time to meet and that was that. Did I ask for pictures? YES. Why wouldn't I ask for pictures of something that you claimed to be problem free when others have had so many problems from the get go. ESPECIALLY IF YOU OFFERED.

#2 Yes I did try and negotiate price with you since we had gone from mailing me the package to meeting up with you to pick up the package. No shipping should mean no shipping charge right? I think that's fair. ANYONE ELSE??

#3 I didn't delay anything. If you didn't want to meet up you should've said it and given me the opportunity to pay you. You asked for money the next day and I offered to send you the money that same day. NOT the day after or the day after that THE SAME DAY YOU REQUESTED MONEY.

You were impatient Brian, you didn't want to meet, not because it was inconvenient to you, because if it was you would've declined meeting with me to pick up from the get go. I apologize to the buyer, but this needs to be said. You, Brian, wanted to money right away because you wanted to buy another figure online that was on sale. Don't tell me you can't meet up with me because it's your daughters birthday. If you knew that day was your daughters birthday you wouldn't have agreed to meet up with me to begin with, and I would've understood.

Which is fair, don't get me wrong. I would've wanted to do the same thing. BUT I would not have screwed a buyer over for it. A day wouldn't have killed you. Heck another 10 mins wouldn't have killed you. PM me back saying Oh I need the money cause so and so has a sale and I want to jump on it. And you would've gotten your money to buy your next figure. Don't go to another buyer with the item. In fact my phone is ALWAY on me and I could've sent you the money the MINUTE you PMed me back.

Honestly I'm glad I didn't buy that figure. Because it leaks. YES IT LEAKS FOLKS. It wasn't problem free. Again I apologize to the buyer but this needs to be said. I would not have said anything if Brian had not PMed me saying this was all my fault and I was back tracking and stalling as if I was making him wait a few weeks or so. I have had plenty of smooth transaction on this board.

DO NOT make claims that a product, with a known history of problems, is problem free just to make a sale. It had problems and you knew it. That is probably why when I asked for pictures you ignored the request and went and sold it to someone who didn't ask for pictures. And yes you knew that was a reason. I was the only one to ask for pictures.

Ladies and Gentlemen this is the seller STEEL we are talking about. This is the kind of seller he is. I would've left negative feedback if possible but I couldn't. This is the whole story and STEEL is welcome to comment if he would like. I would actually like that just to see what he has to say about this. He obviously wont (until now since I called him out on it) because he knows he is wrong.

Thank you and good day.

I bought this figure from Steel.

When I saw his original post I emailed him an offer. He emailed back saying he had an offer for $25 more but would keep me in mind. A day or so later (after talking to my wife about the extra funds) I emailed him and said if the other deal fell through I'd match the offer and pay immeadiatly.

He contacted me back and we had a conversation over several emails about the figure, however I did not ask for pics.

Steel then told me he'd sell it to me since the other buyer (who I didn't know at the time was Shan) was wanting to wait.

I paid him through paypal, and good to his word he sent the figure out in less than 24 hours (via priority mail, witch I did not even request). I received the figure yesterday.

After reading through this thread I contacted Shan yesterday to let him know what happened and that I was the buyer. He confirmed the price Steel originally told me he had offered. Since Shan was wanting to pick up and Steel mailed to me he actually received less money for this figure, not more.

Now, the leaking. Steel told me he owned the figure for 3 weeks before deciding to sell it and that he hadn't had problems with it leaking. When I received it yesterday there was a small amount of oil on it as soon as I opened it up. HOWEVER, in the 24 hours since I owned it the leaking has grown continously worse. If it had leaked this bad when Steel had it in his possession there's no way it would've have been as clean as it was after being sealed in a box for 48 hours.

Take it for what it's worth, but I believe Steel when he says it wasn't leaking while in his posession. Something like this can easily be affected by temperature or climate so I wouldn't be surprised if it started leaking while in transit. Everything else he said about the figure was correct.

Steel has also been in constant contact with me up to and after i told him it was leaking, and we're still working on a solution.

I'm on good terms with both Shan and Steel. Keep in mind, I'm the only one out any money on this deal and I'm still on good terms with Steel.

I applaud you anti-hero for coming out with yer honesty....

Thanks for telling your side of the story anti-hero. I'm glad STEEL is following through with the problem with you. But I also stand strong to my point of botching on a deal without notifying me first. But at least he's doing this right.
