Do you like the upcoming Medicom RAH Magneto???

Magneto is probably my favorite Marvel character of all time (as well as one of my favorite fictional characters period), but, try as I might, I just can't get enthused about the Medicom RAH comic Magneto. I can't put my finger on exactly what I object to about him, but I think it's primarily that I don't like either headsculpt (the helmet looks way too small) and the belt is way too wide (Magneto needs a belt, not an underbust corset).

This sucks because I'd really like a nice 1:6 Magneto... why can't this look more like the Sideshow Comiquette?

Marvel is making one like they did with Dr Doom. I haven't seen any clear pics, but it could be another cheaper option. The Dr Doom one is great.

Oh really? That could be promising for, at the very least, a kitbash (as I plan to do with the Icons Doom....) assuming that its head is not pitfully small.

I agree that it looks awkward and the reason is the body. IF, I say IF the costume can be taken off, I will definately make some adjustments to the thigh muscles and waist.
Bulk him up would make him look damn good.

I think it can be posed better than the pics we've seen, I think it shows promise.

The Medi Magneto IMO lacks a good head sculpt.

Medicom used a "cartoonish" sculpt which I just don't like.

The outfit though looks great!

The Medicom Superman Returns costume fits on a Hot Toys body just duckily... maybe this one would too?

But ye gods that would be getting into a really expensive kitbash, especially if I wanted to cannibalize the helmet/head from the Marvel Legends Icons version.... maybe this will be a dud sales-wise so it would be more affordable to cannibalize.

I don't think for a mass market toy the Hasbro Icons figure looks too bad, I think they just went with the wrong expression and the helmet could be fixed a little better as the sides seem to be bending away from his head, which makes the figure look weird.

But again it's mass market.

I was really excited when I saw the Medi Magneto at first, but I've since had to cancel my preorder for it. I'm not too fussed as I think it's one of the weaker offerings so far in Medi's Marvel line, the costume and helmet is a big problem for me.

They should've made the entire costume metallic, it just looks strange with different shades of red from costume to helmet.

In fairness that's very true.

Medicom Cyclops looked to have the wrong shade of blue on his suit in the preview pics, but in hand it was the right shade.

Same thing could happen here.

The more I look at it, the more it seems to me the only things really wrong are the cheap looking cape and Medicom's teeny waist they give every figure. Might not be so noticeable, but Mags' belt makes it really stand out. =/

The colours chosen. Cheap looking materials and how they sit on the body. Looks like he has old gramp's chicken legs. Granted he is an old man, but still, with that big of a torso, you would want bigger legs. He has the bar body, but not a body builder body. In the comics he was a well built man. Very proportionate. Definitely one of Medicom's worse, and they have been known to put out some high quality stuff.

i like the magneto comiquette but ever since someone pointed it out to me all i see is ted danson. i probably will pick up the magneto medicom one day. i am really looking forward to the medicom punisher . thats the bomb

Danson for sure! I'm not gonna defend the RAH one, I can see easily how it's not liked, regardless of me liking it. But I think the SS Polystone one sucks hard just as much. Jacked ass teeth and all.
