yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! Can't get enough Aliens franchise. DX, OX, XXX (nekkid Burke with whipped cream and a cherry). Make it all happen!!

I don't have any of the older figures but I still vote no. IMO the DX line should be reserved for iconic characters and not figures that have sold out and are fetching a ton on ebay. The only characters from the Alien series that are worthy are Ripley and the Alien itself.

The Alien has no DX potential unless they decided to make one thats film accurate for a change. Other than that all they could do is give it environment pieces. The marines have plenty of DX potential even if they're not the title characters.

YES they should make all of their top sellers into DX form

No thanks.
I already have all of the originals, and would feel like I was getting stiffed if this happened.

One of the main things that drives this hobby is exclusivity.
Take that away and you wind up with just another mass produced/retail product.

That's what I see happening with The Dark Knight, and the 1,000,000 T-600's figures Hot Toys are making. The originals are losing their value except to the nostalgic. :(

I'd much rather see them make Johnny 5 (Short Circuit) figures instead.

Awesome! One of my favorite movies as a kid. And who knows...maybe even a possibility with a remake in the works.

Back to the original topic, I'd love to see a Hicks DX, even owning the original. There's just a lot of little inaccuracies and a blah sculpt that could really benefit from an overhaul.

I wouldn't mind a Hicks DX if everything is dead on accurate but i've already got 2 complete sets . So after all the money invested into accurizing them and all I vote no.

I think they should. I've got all the originals and have put alot of money into customzing them but I think the uscm line is worth revisiting. If hot toys do attempt it I seriously doubt they would do the whole team again. Maybe just Hicks and Ripley.

I totally agree!, light up red eyes, lazer lights up,treads move, comes with interchangeable parts to give off the look between SC and SC2, maybe even registery decals from numbers 1-5 so the collector can own the whole setup of bots from the first movie. I think there was the 5 bots total or 6.

Hell even maybe like a exclusive chromed gold Johnny 5 from the end of SC2.

Yeah, definitely, if they can get the likeness issues sorted out. I don't give a rat's ass if the originals' values go down. Exclusivity is nice and all, but whatever... Hicks, Hudson and Apone definitely need a redo... and who knows, maybe if they do this they'd throw in a new Marine figure or two as well (Gorman?) or maybe even Bishop.

Really they should redo Scar Predator from AVP as well.

Would I like to see a re-do? Yes. Do I think they'll do one......no. And I doubt they'll do a DX version of it if they did.

Yeah I can't see it happening. I'd be all over it if it did though. Jumped on the HT bandwagon too late to get Hicks, Vasquez and Apone so obviously I want them. But to tell the truth yes I would probably buy updated versions of the marines I do have - Hudson and Drake - assuming they still can't use Sigourney's likeness what would be the point in redoing her.

I would still find a use for my existing USCM figures - maybe strip them of their gear a bit and use them as ''dressing room" versions.

well since i missed the boat the first time round, sure! i'd definitely welcome a dx line of the marines. i seriously doubt they can secure sigourney weaver's likeness rights so a ripley dx is probably unlikely.

still, personally i'd love to get a hicks and drake. WITH proper likenesses.

I'd buy them all if they re-made these, no question. I have a couple of the originals and could care less how the values would be affected. I buy these things because I like them, not because I think they will go up in value or because they are 'exclusive'. Heck, I hope they make millions of them, makes 'em easier to get that way!

I wouldn't mind a redo myself - I don't own any currently and they just aren't available on the secondary market either. Doing them as a DX just makes sense imho - it would let those who are happy with their current versions keep them, or sell them for a reasonable amount (compared to original purchase price) and upgrade. The only ones who would be getting stiffed would be people who bought them on the secondary market after release.

But that's the risk they take - no one ever said buying toys was a sound investment. By no means should that impede Hot Toys from doing it, especially given the insane aftermarket prices these things are going for now, relative to the rather low quality of sculpting compared to what HT is doing now.

I emailed Hot Toys and this is what they've to say as usual....
