Do you think Rambo dying at the end of First Blood makes for a better ending?

Novel to film adaptations are almost never compatible ........ that said having him die in the end would make no sense. Him living at the end was pure director/writer geneous IMO. It was more realistic that he lived. Aside from John taking bitter revenge of the officers that "pushed" him he never once showed signs of depression or losing faith in man. He goes on a rampage but after venting comes back to reality.

The shining is another example of having to change the novel to screenplay for it to make more sense.

Rambo living was a no brainer IMO.
 
just think how lucky stallone is. because if steve mcqueen would of lived he was signed to do this movie..
i am glad the series went on.but the alternate ending is not bad either..
