Grammar. :lol. I didn't see the sign move either, King.

As far as employees go, sometimes the most direct approach is needed if the employees have not been following their directions.

Man, I wish my bosses were that direct and told people at work to be pros.

At my work we have people chosing totally unprofessional cell phone rings. South Park, ScoobyDoo, laughing monkeys etc. I wish my bosses would send out an email or something telling people if they can't use a professional ringer that they need to leave the cell phones off and that the next time it goes off there will be disciplinary action.

Employees have been getting out of line more and more where I work.

As for the sign, I agree that putting it out in front of the public is the wrong approach.

Should be a comma after "this." Otherwise, it reads like an unfinished thought. "If you can see this move. . ." what? You are probably drunk, stoned, sleep deprived, or otherwise psychologically disturbed?

What do you expect from management at a restaurant. Most of those people hardly have a highschool degree.

Definitely not offended by it, but it does look odd and to me kind of breaks up the atmosphere of a restaurant that should be relaxing and comfortable for the patrons.

I assume the sign is supposed to foster the belief that the staff work hard and don't waste time. But to me it sounds prickish and as if the establishment is belittling their employees.

Not offended at all. I grew up working in restaurants. Good help is hard to find. Usually you have a bunch of lazy ____ers working for you that have all slept together. Not to mention all the drama between employees. Most wait staff need reminded that they aren't there for social hour. So if a sign is what is needed then so be it.

It's real easy for someone to say "Just hire the right person." The right person is probably working at a better job. :lol

Maybe I missed something, but what stands out to me is that the sign doesn't even make sense. If a patron can see the sign, wouldn't the wait staff be able to see the sign while tending their area? A sign like this would definitely annoy me as an employee and a patron.

...The "employees must wash hands" signs are worse IMO. Do they really need signs to remember to wash their hands after using the restroom? I mean really. :dunno

I hate those signs too. It makes me start thinking about all the people who are handling my food withou washing their hands.

Actually, unfortunately I believe they should. Not everyone is into a sanitary life style. When I was at a IHOP in the US 6 years ago one of the cooks was taking a piss next to the urinal from me, and didn't bother to wash his hands afterward. I always wash my hands after I take a piss or crap, but not everyone does.

Yes, but if someone doesn't wash their hands after using the restroom anyway, do you really think a sign is going to make them do it?

I have a co-worker who is notorious for walking out of the bathroom stall and bypassing the sink every time. No one has ever seen him wash his hands. You work with the same group of people for ten years and it becomes hard to hide such a thing. F'n gross.... Of course I work for a major construction company, not some restaurant, but it's still gross.

Yeah it is, I have a few coworkers I've seen do the same thing. I also find it disgusting when grown men pee on the toilet seat and don't wipe it but that is a whole 'nother rant. :lol
