I think the only thing worse than being home schooled is going to an all boys school :monkey2

I wouldn't mind being seduced with a sandwich...I'm hungry.

She held the interview together though.

I do feel a little sorry for the kid.

uuughhh, I was homeschooled in the third grade. my parents pulled myself and my two brothers out of public school while they were in the middle of a lawsuit with the school district (long story, but there was stachybotrys mold growing all throughout the air conditioning in one of the schools and it caused HUGE health problems for my brother)

Pretty much the same here with me, except my teachers only gave us notes and never bothered to teach us a damn thing, so we'd end up having to, literally, be taught by our parents on how to do stuff while pissing away money for basically no reason.

Hey, home-schooling isn't bad if it's done right and not totally secluded from the outside world. I was home-schooled for a long time, but my parents made sure that social skills didn't die out or anything. When I went to High School everything was totally chill, no problems or anything like this kid. Some parents really have no idea how to do it while keeping their kids normal I guess.
Quoted for truth!

This news piece is just the sort of propaganda that I expect to see to get people to surrender their kids to "the system". Where's the balancing stories on successful homeschooled kids or public school casualties?

I detest black-and-white presentations of the issues.
