But gotta remember... this is the forbidden zone look. Therefore no vest, but you get the cool base and doll.

The PF shows Zaius's riding outfit. I'm not too sure about the backside. Have to view the film again (another good excuse!!)...to see if my memory serves me well, if the leather trim of the back is a straight shot (no curves) and the length of the leather to his riding outfit matches the length of the fabric so when viewed from the back there is no notch...

Yeah got find a way to get cheap. At least put the right outfit and charge an extra 30 bucks or something.:monkey4

Can we get a post of the "riding" outfit, I can't imagine that SS missed this that bad; it wouldn't be in their character.

Summary doesn't say it.

"The Dr. Zaius Premium Format figure is a stunning 1:4 scale museum quality piece. Each piece is cast in high-quality polystone, then hand-painted and hand-finished to exacting standards. The figure is dressed in an amazing miniature replica of the costume, constructed of real fabrics and leathers, and the base is individually hand-numbered for authenticity. This stunning figure is the ultimate representation of Dr. Zaius, an outstanding addition to any collection."

I looked at the movie. The Zaius riding jacket has no notch in the back edge the way Sideshow has presented the PF Zaius. Also, the leather going down Zaius's back is a straight edge on the back AND the front of the jacket in the movie. The SS jacket on the PF back is WRONG. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Any way to fix that before this goes into production, SIDESHOW???? It's really important to me that this is correct!!! :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Vest? VEST???? What vest are you talking about. It is his coat. He wore a coat throughout the film and at the end it was more of a jacket.

Vest, vest... there is no vest.

Where is the notch? Are talking about the bottom of the jacket?

If you look at Dr. Zaius's riding jacket as posted a few posts above this one, the bottom edge of his jacket has a "notch" because the leather is shorter than the fabric it is sewn onto. It almost looks like he's wearing a leather shirt.

If you view the riding jacket from behind, the leather matches the fabric, so there is no "notch" on the bottom edge of his jacket. I don't have screen capture ability, but here's a photo kind of showing Dr. Z's backside:

After this part of the movie, he climbs up the ramp, and you can clearly see that the leather is an oblong shape down his back (It is not curved near the shoulders like the SS jacket), and the leather matches the fabric on the bottom edge of his jacket.

I wonder if SS is going to care to fix this, or if that's how the PF Zaius is going to be. :monkey2

This will be difficult to fix unless you have the matching leather...and some extra fabric that SS uses...

I am no Apes expert, but this looks fine to me. Esp with the screen caps posted.

I just popped the DVD in. :D

Thanks for posting this pic... it saves me a trip to the DVD player.

Yeah, I'd like to see Sideshow lower that leather strip to match the length of the cloth portion. Like they did for their 12"er.
