Thats what Fed Ex insurance is for :monkey5

Either way, it's gonna end with a "negative" somewhere, like Shropt said. He already filed with paypal. SO he is in no means to talk it out.

You can send items insured without requiring a signature. Anything over $250.00 paypal requires you to send with signature confirmation.

Not necessarily... in recent months, I've had a couple of buyers file a dispute to "cover themselves". I thought they were trying something or were just newbs... they got their items and in both cases they dropped the dispute and the funds were made available again. It sucked, but worked out well in the end for both transactions. Oh, and in both cases, they were overseas; that is why it took a little longer for the items to get there.

Man I hate it when people do that. Usually for me they do it on cheap stuff too. I swear, does anybody really think I would risk my selling reputation over a $15.00 dvd.:lol:lol:lol

I know! One guy filled a dispute after just one week! I'm seriously considering not selling outside the US, but +50% of my sales occur outside, so...

Same here. Another thing I can't stand is idiots who don't read my auction description which clearly says email for a shipping quote before you bid. Then they win the auction and the item is too big to ship to their country. The other thing I love is people who pay with echecks and then on the day it clears they are hounding me about if I sent the item yet.

Did you leave the buyer feedback yet? If not... and they leave you a negative, give them a negative right back. Usually people stop being pricks at that point and will listen and you can also later mutually withdraw the feedback.

I know it sounds a bit shady, but I know I'm on the up-and-up with the stuff I sell, but I honestly don't always trust that a buyer won't try to claim damage or some BS to try and get a free item. So I always withhold leaving feedback until I receive it first... similarly if I'm the buyer I always leave feedback as soon as I have the item and assess the condition.

see, it's my understanding that sellers can no longer leave ANY kind of feedback for buyers, thus making it impossible to leave a retaliatory negative. am i wrong here?

I think if it was sold before the new rules, you should still be able to leave feedback.

Oh boy man if you have the same luck as me you will be giving this turd a full refund. I sold some items on Ebay last year and after the buyer recieved his package he claimed that some of the items were damaged, I too added insurance for free, that wasn't good enough (Insurance) he wanted a full refund so without ANY FRIGIN evidence or the fact that my damn auction stated that I was not responsible for damaged mail they granted him the case like a person handing out Halloween candy!

Long story short, the items arrived with VERY MINIMAL DAMAGE and I also had to pay a $25 UPS Brokerage fee too! What a joke Paypal is, i'm not sure about Ebay because they weren't involved but Paypal in my books is a heap of garbage!

Insurance? Doesn't matter, Signature? Doesn't matter, Proof? Doesn't matter, what does matter is if your Paypal/Ebay agent is on the rag or not!

Yeah I have sold a few things for much more then others based just on the fact that I would ship internationally. I have never had a problem but I worry about the fact they you normally don't have seller protection for international installs.

this whole situation sucks and i hope it works well for you in the end. the moral of the story is ebay sucks and people are *******s. recently i bought a figure off ebay and right after the guy sent it out he realized he sent the wrong one. he emailed me right away pretty much begging for my forgiveness and saying he will pay for all the reshipping fees and everything like he thought i was gonna be a big prick or something about it. i had to reassure him that it was no big deal and it was all good and **** happens.
