Watched that video this morning. Looks awesome. Hope the final piece doesn't have the head be a separate piece like some of the other pics show. A seam would ruin this piece

Photos from the production line are on SWS' Instagram! Starts at the 5th image:

Looks pretty damn good to me.

I was just about to place an order for this last minute, with the cutoff date for pre ordering ending today, but the estimated shipping cost of $215 on top of the price of the item itself is just pushing too far past what I'm comfortable paying. I feel bad, this is an absolutely beautiful piece, probably as close to the dream piece of Jurassic collecting that I'll ever see. It just didn't come along at a time when I'm able to justify the cost unfortunately.

Yes, Cinemaquette ship prices are always high. I was considering ordering also, but decided to pass for now. I already have so many other rex pieces I probably should sell one or two as it is. I did get an amber mosquito and the bronze rex skeleton though.

I think it needs darker mottling on the legs.

T-Rex is a female? Joey in disbelief - 'Yeah?' Lol!

Anyone else get charged today? We're getting closer!

All paid!! Can’t wait for this one. Does anyone know when they will start shipping these out?

ECC hit a home run with this one. First class all the way. So glad I waited through all the P1 crap. The pictures above have the color shifted to the greener or cooler. It is very brown and a lot darker in person. The belly is pretty much white which makes a stark contrast that I'm not too happy about. Of course it would look better repainted or touched up but I always wonder what that will do to the resale value. I'll post pics soon.

:slapSays all the good P1 pieces are crap compared to this, then immediately says it needs paint work. A "home run" does not need repainted...

Home run for a preprint. Any statue painted by a factory worker can be done better by someone who has the skills and time.

Got mine yesterday, will upload pics soon.

It's a beautiful piece overall -- the natural pose and understated base make it my favorite of the high-end JP Rexes thus far -- but the surface detail is admittedly underwhelming. The sculpt needs finer detail, something that Prime 1 and Infinity are knocking out of the park these days. The wrinkles are too wide and many of the scales just look like abstract bumps. It seems like they overcompensated for this by simply sharpening everything, but that only exaggerates the height of the existing bumps. It doesn't shape them into proper scales or add finer skin texturing.

Again, it's quite a beautiful piece and looks great from a distance, but up close it doesn't quite check all the boxes it should. My collection has only shrunk over time and I grow weary of large, expensive pieces that don't fully satisfy. The bigger and more expensive it is, the more it needs to be a grand slam home run.

What do you guys think about this vs the Prime 1 Cliff Attack diorama? Are those that bought this Rex satisfied? What about those with the Iron Studios diorama?

Would love a JP Rex in the collection but definitely not looking to get multiple statues.

I am going to eventually order the Cliff Attack piece. Iron Studios piece is good except the paint on the rex is underwhelming. As a complete diorama it is amazing. Lots of issues with broken pieces on that one in shipping, so if you can't do minor repairs, I would steer clear.

If you've got the space to display it, the iron studios wins it for me, get the right lighting on it and it's like a movie still. I have it alongside a 1:8 rex which is quite similar to the ECC and whilst the paint and details are far superior on that compared to the iron studios, the dynamic pose and the diorama base give it the edge.

Whoa, who made that 1/8? That's kinda the scale I wanted the ECC to be. Still hoping they release the same statue in a bigger scale.

But that Iron Studios diorama looks amazing too...
