great job. i just watched that show for the first time the other night (no choice in that really) where they made the lost cake & helicopter cake. i really had no idea this was done. you could work there in a heartbeat.
 
After watching Ace of Cakes and the like, I thought my “mom and I could do that!” it is a bit more difficult than I thought, but we’ve actually gotten good enough to started a small side business doing sculpted cakes.

Here’s a Captain Kirk Cake. The head and hands I cast in tinted white chocolate in a throw away mold I made for the Kirk head I sculpted, the chair and the rest is fondant covered pound cake. It’s currently on cakecentral.com for the Star Trek cake contest.

oyou should have made a front and back version, with the one on the back being Fat kirk... brings new meaning to the caption at the bottom....

How in the HELL...... did you cast a head in chocolate!?:google Just melt it and pour it in? Amazing that it came out of the mold intact like that. Really awesome work.
