I've just got a remplacement from sideshow but there's no edition number on the base of the statue.
Will it be depreciated in your opinion;

They are numbered at random, so unless the number is personal to someone or the character, value is not affected.

But no edition number might lead others to think it's a recast.

I'd even go so far as to contact Sideshow though. I think it'll draw too many red flags if you intend to see in the future.
