For $600+ I'm not willing to roll the dice on this, and even more on the KA. Since eFx is notoriously & painfully slow on product delivery I can't even fathom what the return/refund experience would be like IF I had to go that route and I don't want to find out lol. Reading the issues with this shield and the KA I'll just wait until another round of shields launches from Cap 3 or Civil War.

I just dropped mine YP and totally agree with you. Been viewing this thread every week to make sure I get what I want and its just not worth 600 plus. A shield prop should be durable and a great display piece. Problem is no shield out there right now is worth that kinda dough IMO. Its sad cause EFX had the blue and red the way I wanted it and the star was perfect size. But I want to hold it every once in awhile and have a shield to fend off possible intruders with.

Always wanted a Cap shield, but I'll wait for the right one for me.

That's actually a good point. There's always more shields to come with movies. I'm getting to the point where I'll cancel mine. If I'm not 100% sure to spend $600 on it, then don't buy it. I do want to hold it once in a while... And like matticus said, I need it for home defense

I once had the Factory X Cap shield...While it was a little too big,that was a shield that actually could be used,carried cosplay,tossed,ran with without a worry of it breaking..that is the way ALL these shields should be made especially for the price tag they ask for it today

Woo Hoo. My Thor helmet came in today! Man what an awesome well made piece. I highly recommend. Unfortunatly it's a little too tight for my head. I have a big noggin wear 7 1/2 hats. I squeezed my head in as far as it would go, it still sits a little high. Here's some pics. Enjoy.

I think I'm gonna cancel my pre-order is well. Just waiting to see what an auction on eBay ends at. If I can make $200 on this, I'll keep it and sell it on eBay. No comments on my helmet? I nearly popped my eyes out trying to fit my head into that helmet to share with you guys. I deserve some rep points for that.

i would jumped on that pre-order weeks ago. Now, not so much. I want to be able to hold the shield without the handles falling off due to stripped screws.

I have been holding my efx shield by the straps several times, and have had no issues
With the bolts being loose. I highly doubt there will be any other shields on the market
Any time soon.

yeah, for now! the shield is definitely not made to be held often

If anyone wants to get a confirmation about Efx props and their durability just watch this video. The founder of the company explains props. Efx's process for making the props and even gives the disclaimer that nothing they make for props should be used for costuming. That stormtrooper is the balls and if it goes for sale I will definitely buy it b t dubs. wonderful looking hero suit.

At the 2 minute mark you will get the answer to any question you have about their process. Very informative. Bryan is a nice guy if they could just get their products out the door this company would own.
