You don’t really need to do that with Elden Ring. The game gives you so many options compared to other souls games.

Certain builds and summons can make the game pretty trivial.

I’m sure I’ll get around to it. I still have half of Dark Souls 2 to finish, with Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne in my backlog, with Lies of P on my radar.

Master team kindling maiden, LimtoysxMasterteam Ranni both were up for pre order but have gone totally dark. Then there was the teased VTS toys Blaidd figure which pre orders were never opened up. Has anybody heard updates or talks from any of these?

The journey over the last few days to get something looking at least similar to the longsword. Started with a coomodel palm empire sword

tried getting it looking like this

first thing I did was removed the handle and made one from wood and drilled a hole into the hilt, through the handle and through the pommel

after a buttload of dremmeling I got it close enough shape wise as I could

then used a few different grits and sanded by hand to clean off the bit cuts left by the dremmel and smooth it all out, I left a few little chips and cuts here and there then I finished up the handle painted it and did some black staining on the metal to make it look weathered and I left the pommel removable sort of like how figma does their swords so I can put it in hands easily (forgot to say the pommel had 2 different sized metal studs glued into the holes, first one curves out then I drilled through that one and glued a smaller stud into the holes backwards so it curved inwards)

started the border on the shield too are people okay with me posting my tarnished progress in here ?

Thank you ! Got the helmet sorted thanks to the STL smith on Etsy, not sure how 3d sculpting works but it looks like they used the in-game model and added more polygons ? Either way very happy with it I usually wear the redmane knight gloves and boots, tree surcoat and great helm so that's the look I'm going for

Started on the helmet

needed a right leather glove so I painted one from my parts bin

i bought a coomodel chainmail shirt but all the silver paint was flacking off everywhere so after washing it I sewed the sides closed, added the weird melted parts with mod podge and sand then dry brushed it silver and sealed it, then added all the rust to it as well as rust to the coomodel armour pieces ( I know the armour isn't accurate but I'm hoping once it's finished it'll be close enough looking)

i didn't realise until I took screenshots how rusty everything really is ingame didn't need to put so much effort into the chainmail detail as I'll be putting the tree surcoat over the top but it gave me something extra to do
