I hit level 61 last night. I'm just maxing out as much as I can and doing every quest I can, besides the story's main quest. I'll eventually have to do the main quest to retrieve one of the Dragon Priest masks, but there's enough stuff to keep me busy for awhile. Oh, and I got the Touch of Gold achievement last night. Easy way to do that is unlock the perks in speech to be able to sell any item to any vendor, and to be able to invest in vendors, and activate the Steed Stone for the extra carrying capacity, and everytime you're in a walled in city bleed vendors dry with all the jewels from questing and potions you make from raising your alchemy skills.

Just recently got my (latest) battle mage to 50, so I decided to start a character and not use magic at all, which I've never done in an ES game. Using Two-handed and Archery (I've never used either before)

And so far I'm really enjoying it.

That's my main focus is two handed and heavy armor, but I'm raising other skills now just to level up. I crafted a Daedric battleax last night with a rating of 192. Now to craft the Daedric gauntlets with two handed enchantment added :D

You guys who have done the companion missions did you have to become werewolf’s?

No you don't have to, but if you do then later in the quest line you can get rid of lycanthropy. It's nice to have because you're immune to diseases, so you don't have to worry about getting vampirism, but you can't get any resting bonus as a werewolf. I have it and am keeping it.

No, once you put the Glenmoril Witch head in there for yourself and defeat your wolf spirit, that's it for the rest of the game.

Yeah, it's cool when you're roaming around and a thief tries to jack ya, then just transform and rip them apart :)

helps out when you get stuck on a bandit cave or a hard mage at the end

I just use it to play around every once in awhile. With my Daedric battleax having such a high damage rating there aren't too many foes I can't take out with 2-4 swipes. And I just found the Ebony Blade, and I'm having a blast with that. Being a werewolf is too fun to get rid of, though :D

Not really. For real half the time I forget I have it until I sleep so I can continue a quest quickly and it says "you cannot obtain resting bonus with beast blood". Then it's like, "oh yeah, I'm a werewolf". I think about the only way it affects the companion quest line is that Alea will send you to obtain the 3 Hircine totems, which you can choose a power for while in beast mode.

Just got this game yesterday. $39 @ BB w/ a price match from WM. Played form about an hour. Pretty cool game. Little harder than I thought. Died several times. Got shot with an arrow right in the head.

So if you've recently just started, or are about to start, the Thieves' Guild quest line, then when you get the Thieves' Guild armor from Talia, DO NOT sell it back to her.

Find out why;

Later in the quest line you'll be instructed to go exchange one piece of your Guild armor to her, and if you don't have it she basically tells you that you can't exchange a piece until you get a piece back to exchange to her, and that's all she will do if you try to talk to her. She will not sell you anything until you exchange that piece, but she is the one who has the Guild armor that you need a piece of. It's a stale mate.

This will prevent you from completing the final part of the quest line called "Under New Management", where you are appointed Guild Master, and are instructed to see Talia about receiving your Guild Master armor. She will first have you give some Moon Sugar to a Khajiit in the caravans to have them transport the Guild's stolen goods, and even after completing this side mission it instructs you to return to Talia, but she will still be stuck on the conversation point where you were originally instructed to exchange one piece of your original Guild armor, now preventing you from receiving your Guild Master armor, and ultimately preventing you from completing the Thieves' Guild quest line.

I just found this out the hard way :( So, keep at least one piece of the Guild armor.

90% of game aren't worth their RRP, this one is :wink1:

Hell yeah, you could easily sink 100+ hours into this game, and still not come close to doing every quest, and exploring every area, that this game has to offer. Then after "completing" the game, you can start all over and do a character the complete opposite of the one you just did, and enough quests have alternate decisions you can make to affect the outcome of it at the end. Best game I've played to date.
