I just spent a silly amount of time chasing down the Headless Horsemen on foot. Not really worth it.

I saw him too! Thought I was seeing things. :lol
I read on FAQ Board that Lidia isn't glitched, but that you have to be far along on the main quest and then she asked you to do something for her. Then you can marry her. Don't know if its true. :dunno

kewl. I like her. It's awesome when I'm running from place to place and she gets stuck or falls back somewhere and then when I'm fighing something she show up running headstrong into the fight with me. :lol

I also like how she says that she is sworn to carry my burdens. :lol

this game is amazing. my nord got turned into a vampire and i waited too long to feed. my follower attacked me and i killed him. wouldn't have been too bad except he was carrying 795 pounds of gear and my horse ran away from me and i can't catch it because i am encumbered and can't run.

Do you have any of the weight potions? Vampire and Werewolf are fun to play around with but not to finish out the game. :lol

yeah, just had one but it wore off. i have to get it cured. he has some beastly abilities at stage 4 but not regenerating anything during the day sucks and slows the game way down. it was super useful fighting volsung because of the frost resist. it was fun at firts but kind of progressing towards annoying. i might roll a new toon and keep someone as a vampire just to run around and merc people.

Even when I tell her to wait, because she'll just rush right into battle when I'm trying to do a sneak attack, she comes charging in. She's a monster with full enchanted Orc Armor and Fire enchanted Glass Battleaxe and Fire Staff. She even wears the Necklace of Minor Magika I gave her. My four year old grandson noticed it and asked my if I had given it to her. He said good cause he likes her. :lol

Well I finally got houses in all the cities and became a Thane in all areas and got all of those Dragon Priest masks. Was happy I also got a complete set of Ebony and glass armor. I wish I could buy more mannequins so I could have all my armor sets on display.

I've got a skill level of 100 with swords and use destruction magic with my other hand (I think that skill level is about 86 or so) - killing has become rather easy...I can kill Elder dragons with about 5 blows of my sword while I use fire in my other hand...most beasts, witches, bandits, etc...I can get with one blow. Love that I can decapitate people.

I'm mainly just running around exploring and clearing new areas out. I found one cave that had 12 cave bears that all came running towards me. Cleared it and sadly all there was to claim was one chest with about 9 coins in it. :lol

Got totally lost in Blackreach...I think I spent at least 5 hours just wandering around there and checking everything out. Not sure if I explored it all or not before I made my way out of there.

Really loving this game - and damn is it taking up all my free time. :lol

How long do you guys think it would take to do all the quests (main quests, side quests, civil war quests, faction/guild quests, and miscellaneous favors/quest)? I am about 80 hours in, and judging by the table of contents of the guidebook, I estimate about ~100 more hours (with plenty of hours spent doing housekeeping things, staring at the world, managing inventory, houses, followers, etc.). Obviously, with one playthrough you can't see all the possible outcomes to quests that have multiple resolutions, but I think 200 hours sounds about right. Pretty worth the money in my opinion. I'm not big on replaying games that have set quests and storylines (pretty much all games excluding online FPS or strategy games), since story-line wise you'll see "most" of everything in one slowly paced playthrough. All the other quests are pretty linear, you pretty much cut the quest halfway by killing the NPC, chosing a side, or finish the quest by saving the NPC and playing it through.

I think 200 hours sounds about right.
It depends whether you're using a guide to complete everything or wandering aimlessly and finding things I guess.

Hmm...haven't heard that. I thought everything would eventually come to and end, which would be kind of weird as the game doesn't finish when you finish the main quest.

The never ending quests would be things like kill X at [location A] (and the game would respawn the enemies in that location)?

I hope they make epic DLC!

Supposedly they are using a new type of scripting they call 'radiant AI' which creates content on the fly. eg. "My daughter/husband/sex slave was taken by the evil bandit leader/wizard/nymphomaniac and is being held in the nearby cave/tower/brothel'

Apparently there are a range of quests that will recreate endlessly.

Man the civil war quest was disappointing.
Did anyone else find that?

I've been so impressed with the effort put into the guild quest lines with the twists and betrayals and interesting ideas. Bethesda really upped their game from Morrowind and Oblivion.

But their first attempt at a civil war quest line feels like its straight out of Morrowind - straight forward, simple and repetitive.

I expected betrayals and moles within the Stormcloaks (or Imperials if you went that way), double dealings, treaties being made and broken, etc...

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Just noticed this is at Redbox - will rent it first and then if its what I am hoping for, it'll be mine

Kinda just discovered the Fantasy genre as of late....

I wasnt a huge fan of oblivion... liked it but didnt love it, now this on the other hands is some of the most fun ive ever had, just a much better game imo, i know they are quite similar but just so many things about this game i enjoy.. definatly even if your not a oblivion fan check this out.

This is a great game. one thing l hate though is killing isn't very satisfying, at least not as much as Fallout. l wish you could cut peoples legs and arms off also.

I just spent a silly amount of time chasing down the Headless Horsemen on foot. Not really worth it.

I saw that guy too. A ghost headless horsmen, l didn't fallow him though.

Here's the patch details. It's out now for PS3 and will be released on the 30th for xbox and pc.

And I must say they could have done a lot more.

I have not had any problems on my copy. No graphics issues or anything really, and nothing really mentioned on the lists of problems.

I think 200 hours sounds about right.

That other guy did i all in 116 hours. For me though l am 71 hours in and only at level 37. getting to level 100 hundred is going to be a pain.

Anyone else getting pissed a their horses. The horses attack any threats and it's really annoying. my horse attacks strong guys and l have to rush and kill them as fast as l can so my horse doesn't die. my horse attacks dragons, and either dies or ends up running a 1/4 mile away and have a hard tim finding him again. If l had a real horse who acted lik the hoses in this game l would have a year supply of horse meat.

I don't even bother with horses as Lidia has to run along side. Just doesn't feel right. :monkey2

To those who have played the Civil War missions-

Is one side considered "good" and the other "bad", or is it just a matter of choices made after you join either faction?
