To those who have played the Civil War missions-

Is one side considered "good" and the other "bad", or is it just a matter of choices made after you join either faction?

I doesn't matter. It's up to you. The only major difference I know of is that if you side with the stormcloaks you can get the Hijerm house a few quests in wereas if you side with the imperials you have to wait till the end after you've captured Windhelm.

They each have their own quest lines where they capture each others city depending on who you join (Solitude if your Stormcloak, or Windhelm if your Imperial) But I read that if you go imperial the quest you have to do in order to get the Windhelm house might not work. So I might wait until after the patch to start the civil war.

Thanks :hi5:

No level cap.
You stop getting perks at 50 though which essentially means there is a 'soft cap'

ok got it, so is it technically possible to get all 16 or so "skills" to 100? Not that I would do that or that it makes any sense though.

OMG, I am in love with this game. I've been playing non-stop since last Wednesday. I'm a female dark elf (as pretty of one as I could make) warrior-mage and just became the Archmage of the college! Pretty awesome. I bought my first house in Whiterun awhile ago, but now have the Archmage tower too, and am on my way to buying Vlindrel Hall.

I married Aela the Huntress and brought her home only to find Lydia already waiting there in the bedroom. Awkward!

I told Aela to make me something to eat and she brought me a nice home cooked meal and called me "dear."

Ifound having Aela as your character's wife, and taking her as a companion is kind of wierd. Granted I didn't go through with the playthrough for more than 5 minutes, so I don't know if this is always the case - but as a shop owner, she has wierd items on her, and her loadout changed from what I equipped her with when we set out. Not sure if her carry weight is affected in anyway.

Started playing and I beat my first dragon.but now everytime someone sees me they say I look sickly. What do I do to look normal???

You stop getting perks at level 81, not 50. I am level 52 right now and am still getting perks. They made it possible to max every Skill Tree.

Interesting.
I looked around the net just to make sure I wasn't going insane. Appears that many people thought as I did, but are now finding out differently.

People are now instead saying that the ability to level up drastically decreases after level 50. Is that your experience so far?

At lvl 32 now. Those Frost Trolls that were a mother early one are dead in 4 arrow shots now. :yess:

Go to a temple in one of the cities and activate the shrines.

Very cool. Thanks for the link. I've got them too now. There's even more than I expected. Not sure I'll ever read them all, but it's cool to have all of them.

Periodically, you'll want to check your "active effects" page, under "magic". This will tell you if you've contracted any diseases (red letters mean your stats are negatively impacted). This is especially important after battling vampires, since the vampire disease is contagious and may drastically change your character if it's not cured quickly enough.

Or whenever someone says that to you, head to the temples and click on the statue of the god, which removes all diseases and bless you (whatever that means)

The "blessings" actually provide a stat boost, so it's worth popping 'round the temple even if you're not ill.
