Depends on what you're playing on. On the 360 just press R toggle. Tells you in the booklet that came with the game.

I think you're the only one who reads the booklet. :lol
It's a good thing too, cause you've told a bunch of people(me included) things we were _____in' about. haha

Folks should probably decline the new patch as it's rumored to do little or nothing to fix existing problems and is actually creating new ones.

yup, oh, how Bethesda got the horses wrong. I haven't seen horses this bad since the first Assassin's Creed. If only they took some lessons from Rockstar on how to make horses. Nothing beats Red Dead's horses.

Yeah their horses in this games don't look very good and they handle very badly. I didn't like RDR, but yes their horses were done very well and had lots of muscle movments in their legs.

It's like those medicines they advertise on TV, when they start telling you the side affects they may cause. Sometimes it can be worse then the relief. :slap

I haven't had a problem with the 360 version outside of bouncing plates in one of the bars I was in. :rotfl

Shoot, I already downloaded it. I hope it fixes the Forsworn Conspiracy quest, because mine is completely bugged, keeping me from completing it.

Taking a break on Arkham City, so rented Skirim - downloaded it to my 360 hdd and its less than 4 gigs? What the heck? I was more than shocked as to how a 100 hour game can be such a small size data wise

Bethesda has issued the highly anticipated patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and all seemed right with the world. It fixed the issue that PlayStation 3 owners were having with playing the game for long stretches (and let’s be real, everyone who plays Skyrim plays for long time periods). It also fixed the problem with Xbox 360s not showing high-resolution textures if the game is installed to the hard drive.

The patch also fixed all kinds of other bugs that players were encountering during the game such as small issues with the way dragon corpses behaved and dead bodies showing up to your wedding. However, those glitches are all minor compared to the game breaking glitch that the patch actually creates. People who have updated already are experiencing resistance to magical effects being non-existent. So if you are wearing a piece of armor that boosts your flame resistance it would be negated by this bug, and the flame would do full damage.

In some cases players have also reported weird behavior from dragons where they fly backwards and sometimes just fly around without showing any interest in engaging the player.

It is recommended that you do not update to this version for the time being. Disconnect your Xbox or PS3 from the Internet while playing Skyrim, and turn off any auto updates on the PC. The issues are being reported more heavily on the console versions, but there have been reports of PC players experiencing issues as well. Bethesda is aware of the problem.

After the update, I began the "Battle for Solitude" quest to finish the Stormcloak Rebellion storyline. I went through the door into the city and all the soldiers from both sides vanished--the town was completely empty. The battle music was playing nonstop and I could not fast travel with enemies near (supposedly), but all of my allies and enemies were gone. I wandered all around the town and everything was burning but there was not a soul in sight.

So that's one problem I've had since the update on my PS3.

i had the dragon flying around on me and not attacking. is there any way to take the update off from ps3?

You might be able to back up all of your saved game files, delete the game and all files from your system, and then reinstall the game after disconnecting the PS3 from the network so it won't notice the update and force you to download it. Then reload your saved game files from your flash drive. But I'm not going to bother with that.

I don't think there is an option to roll back after installing an update.

...or wait until the next update. Hopefully they will either roll back the update themselves or have a new one quickly to fix that.

Well, it's good to know NOT to install the patch. :dunno

I have Skyrim on my Xbox 360. When I play some tonight I guess I just won't sign in to my Xbox LIVE account. That way the patch won't get installed...right? I just wanted to be sure.

I haven't ran into any problems yet. I really don't want to if I can help it by not installing the patch.

You can be signed in. Just choose to cancel the update and it will load the game.

yeah that sounds like a lot to do for something that doesnt really bother me too much so ill just deal with it and wait until next update patch

Ok, just started today - updated patch - downloaded to 360...just returned the Golden Claw mission and decided to break into a next door home - well, I got in, but part of the floor is missing - nothing but blue...if I move onto it, I fall below some invisible line....LOL

It'll load and play the game unmodified but you still can't be signed in while playing.

Just make sure your Xbox isn't online when playing.
I have an antique 2006 model (got to be one of the last working ones from that original red ring of death era LOL). It doesn't have wireless internet so I just don't have the internet code plugged in and no auto update...
