This looks bad to me. Just bad. Not meaning to offend those that like it. I just think this thing looks NOTHING like Hugo. As good as the GG LOTR bust line has been so far, this one just screws the pooch. Terrible IMO.

Yeah, I dont' get how they can hit on Viggo who is known to be a difficult likeness to get but miss on Hugo.

I don't think it looks too bad - I can definitely see Hugo in there. And look on the bright side ... you can display it 2 ways. With him holding the sword as the sword bearer (yeah, original name I know, lol) or without the sword -

Now he's an extra from The Godfather 4 - "Hey, what's a matta' with youz'"

LOL ... sorry ... I just love that shot.

It actually isn't a bad young Elrond, but for the scene it doesn't quite work.

The sculpt is there (maybe a bit too young, but there's no question who it is). The paint apps are by far the worst on any bust in this line and right up there with Qui-Gon as far as worst ever. Hopefully not all of them have this horrid of a paint job.

Maybe you're right, but Idon't even see the sculpt on this one and I am usually tries to pull a positive out. This just looks WAY off to me. Maybe a repaint might help, but don't know.

Looks like Ripley to me... what a disapointment the LOTRs busts were going along so well... sigh aww well

Looks like Elrond's younger cousin.

What I really don't like about this line are the different bases. I prefer the simple just elegant bases from the SS/Weta line. These just look too busy and make the pieces look a little cheap. (I know that for many others, the different bases are cool.)

Good point about the bases. The Star Wars and Harry Potter lines all have the same bases and that's something I like. I don't like them being mixed up or different.

I like both. I'm cool with them all being the same but I do like the different looks as well. It allows you to create baddies and goodies with all them looking the same.

I don't really care much for this Elrond bust. I do like the Glorfindel bust but that might be due to the fact that he wasn't in the movie so I don't have a face to compare him to...or do I?

According to GG staff at SDCC, this young man (John Stevens) posed for the scanning of Glorfindel.

Please tell me that's a joke :monkey4

I don't like the Elrond bust at all to be honest. And, I also don't like the fact that GG used someone that has nothing to do with the films or games (whatever) to do Glorfindel with.

It reminds me of the same thing Toybiz did with the Elven Archer VS Uruk-Hai Berserker 2-pack where they based the Elven Archer on what Jesse Falcon (Toybiz big cheese) looked like.

I was wondering if they used John Stevens for the game as well. Since I haven't seen the game, I wasn't sure.
