Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

OH MY GOODNESS!!!
Nightcrawler looks fantastic Seb!
Your unique visions of the chars becomes more & more creative & original!
Also, is that a camera-lightning trick or you revisited Gambit with some repaint? Color scheme on the HS looks way more natural on the latest pic.

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Fantastic Nightcrawler indeed!
One of few custom-figures that I really like to the DO_WANT!_point. :D It's one of my favorite X-Men characters. *_* DAMN! So good, so good.
Does he has a tale?

Gotta love that lightning... Ship it to me!! :monkey3:monkey3:monkey2

Yeah, noticed that too. New is 287x times better (and when I say 287x times better I mean AT LEAST 287x times better :lecture:lecture:lecture). Previous was a little bit like Nolan-Batman-Gambit belt or smth IMO :monkey1

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Not stitcking to any particular vision.

And that's where you exceed. Although the ones that are tru to the source material are awesome, I'm more amazed by the ones that are your own interpretation.

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

You are an absolute beast man. I'm in awe of the X-men, much like %99.9 percent of your other work. Some get elvis a crown, he is the king of the 1/6th world. :clap

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Reposting since I think you overlooked this :(

and a WIP DD, always liked the look of the movie costume.

THis is the marvel studio suit completely reworked to fit properly an advacned tt.
Actually the marvel studio one is almost 13" tall!!!
I switched the boots with the one form the comedian repainted them and also repainted the gloves and belt.

Same here, dunno what it is, but always liked the outfit and actually really enjoyed the Director's Cut of DD. These pics helped inspire me to attempt the same custom. I recently purchased a Marvel Studios DD to get to work. Couple questions if you don't mind:

-Which kind of paint did you use or would you recommend for the gloves/boots?

-How did you fit the hands into the arms of the TT?

-Final question, how do you plan to get the head on the new body?

I noticed the neck swivel used on the default body is very similar to the HT ones and figured that would work, though, have yet to try until I got some insight.

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Cool updates Seb! That vest looks great on Nightcrawler. I like all of the X-Men customs, but Nightcrawler really stands out to me.

Oups sorry i will try to answer quickly.

-For boots and gloves I used acrylics, mix or red, magenta and black

-THe hands fits easily on the hot toys pegs, as for the boots I rpelaced them with the hot toys comedian boots repainted

- and for the head you will see once it's done ;-)

Re: ELVIS1976 custom work and kitbash

Please anything instead of Affleck :lol

BTW, did you ever finish the first Daredevil you showed with the simple body suit, or has he morphed into this?

haha yeah he has morphed into this one, the paint was craxkcing on the other suit.
And i will use the head form that previous custom.
