Lee in MI, to answer your question.

Yes it is a full custom body.

I used a maximum agression upper torso (rescupted the muscle tone on the chest, traps and neck)
Legs are from a dc direct body (shortened them at the thigh and calves and resculpted the muscle tone)
I inserted a balljointed system for the feet to be able to pose it better.

The first piece I ever saw of yours was your Mcgreddy (sp?) The Thing figure years ago and I was blown away. Got the same impression from this fig.

Would love to have one of your custom pieces in the collection. Maybe one day.

Switched my T-800 leathers for the DX10.
Overall I like them better, the fit is better and the material softer.
BUT they looked way to fresh and shiny.
I gave them a good weathering and some bullet holes.

Finally take the plunge and decided to get the colonial marines.

I love Aliens and alwasy really liked those figures. HT first figures.

The details on the armour are amazing but the guys who have them knows that there is a lot of inaccuracies and they look way too clean.
And i'm not even talking about the heads or bodies they came with.


I studied the movie carefully and followed the thread in the "building your colonial marines".

I tried to be as accurate as possible.

This is still work in progress and I still have details to add and of course the heads!

Here's my team of unfinished BADASSES so far.


Hicks is a modified Apone armour.

Hudson

and Drake.

So again still lots of work to do but so far so good.

Wow, awesome work and that's the best Drake repaint i've seen. Love the angle of the eyes and you made him have an intense look about him. Great job!

I have detailed pics of the original Hicks armor and you really have hit it.

For Hudson i personally the best head is still from the Frontline - Hicks is pretty hard to say which one is best. I like the one best that was sold a couple of years ago by Redplanet Toys (as Kyle Reese) - but I don't think they still have it - here are a few pics of mine for reference:
