Yeah what I liked about the parts is all the random stuff and details on the armor.
When you read the book you learn that all those things have a purpose.
It's really an awesome book and some great illustrations.

What is hard is that one each illustration Gabriel is drawn with a different set-up. My version is a mix of what I liked and my own thing.

I'm not familiar with the source material, but damn that is awesome. I love all the quirky detail packed into the armor...makes me want to check out the character and find out what he's all about.

I know what you mean, I put the graphic novel in my amazon wishlist after seeing Seb's pics.

I think this is your best hair work... it lays very close to the head, but no indication that it's not naturally part of the sculpt.

Looks like you used most of the pieces from the figure, except adding some chain mail. Did you do any alterations aside from weathering?

Actually I didn't modifiy anything on the clothing except for the awful chainmail.
Everything was looking perfect. Sideshow did a really great job on the clothing.
I just ported it on an advanced tt with a bit of padding. I still need to finish his cape though.

Good to know, I always thought it was one of the better figures from the line. Can't wait to see the cape you come up with... that will really add a lot to him

I still think that was the best figure in that line. You're right, the outfit really does hold up. What did you use for the chain mail? Is that real mail? From one of the ACI gladiator figures maybe?

Really reenjoying the custom section lately. This thread was always so much fun to follow. You work was always so creative and inspiring. Unbelievable that you keep becomming better and better in what you do. I really thought there was no room for improvement anymore. Especially all your recent hair mods bring those figures to a whole new level. Companies like Hot Toys will have to copy that if they want to stay up to date...

Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society is now complete.
Shoot out to Corrose and Evilface for the transfer and decals and peter the painter for the headsculpt.
