thanks for the pictures jlprjlpr, got two flex payments to go and i will proudly display this piece in my collection next to CIM, SIM, and X-23:banana:chew

Someone will lop the head off of this and create a masterpiece with a new sculpt, mark my words.

Well as someone who loves J. Scott Campbell's artwork, I think it's a good representation in statue form. Maybe it's not perfect but it isn't bad either. Sideshow didn't just decide to make the face on this cartoon style out of the blue, they based it off of something very specific.

So for those who think the face is terrible on this one, you might want to check out the original artwork before you pass judgment. I know it was one of his X-Men covers, I'm just not sure which one. Congrats to those who got Emma! :rock

here are some photos of the Emma PF as I promised about a week ago, one is with Man-thing

I don't understand the most recent backlash against this statue. Looks like the same crappy pics we saw from the PO. Actually, since it looks the same and didn't get any worse in post prototype, at least those who bought it got what they expected.

Personally, I don't care for it now and didn't care for it when premiered.

It is a good representation of the art. If someone were a fan of the artist, I don't see how they would not like the statue. And she's very cute, in a Bratz doll sort of way.

I can see one improvement over the prototype, and that's her eyes. What a brilliant shade of blue.

I love J Scott Campbell's work. This doesn't NOT do it any proper justice. Look at this piece in its final shipped form and then at the cover.

Horrid. Even with his stylized designs, it doesn't look anything like this Bratz doll.

The funny thing his styling can be captured in 3D. Why Sideshow failed I'll never figure out.

Oh. You're right. I had no idea. I never liked Campbell, so I just assumed. The cover is much better.

I was not familiar with J Scott Campbell's work. I just bought it because I'm a completist so I buy them all but honestly didn't like it.

Having now seen Campbell's art. I think the statue is a very good representation of his art.

Having said that, I now think his art and the statue's face based on the art are both ugly, UGLY!

Well, I have the comic book(X-men/Messiah Complex 205 variant edition). Loved it then and still do but I can't say the same thing about the PF. I had to cancel because it's a fail IMO. Anyway, for someone who loves Campbell's work and thinks it's a good representation in statue form, this PF is a must in your collection. So could you provide pics of yours, please?

I already posted photos, they are in this thread between posts 1197 to 1201

Personally I don't like the cartoony anime-like type of comic art.
I grew up with Neil Adams, Jim Aparo, Barry Smith, etc. so this stuff looks like its drawn for 5 year olds to me.
