Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.

Thanks everyone.

Master Chakaman, you honor me. :) Thank you.

Those are Hot Toys Samurai Predator hands w/ hand armor molded on.

I did make the various leather parts, like the wrist / arm band. (I think I made the leather neck part too wide.)

I used the smallest scrapbooking brads that I could find on the leather parts.

Since Nabrun Leids was played by a woman in Star Wars has anyone tried Enaud's head on a female body? Is it too big to look in proportion on a female body?

Also, does anyone make the correct British gas mask that Nabrun Leids wears in 1/6 scale? I've looked but found nothing.

I've been trying to learn from the master customizers and work on the skiff guard continues. That reminds me, mmm I think I need some Nikto heads.

I did finish another Duros. I like Enaud's creations so much.
(Apologies if you already saw these pics thanking Tworiverz for the resin hands.)

I might try that. I'll experiment first.

I started working on Nabrun Leids head about a week ago and found this website during my research:

I sanded off too much of the resin hose and considered alternatives like wrapped wire or DID Albert Browns' flexible gas mask hose.

Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.

I like to paint my Duros more blue than green.

One of my favorite Duros images:

I bought two more heads and hope to one day make one that looks similar to this spacer. (Extra Bossk on order.)

That Nabrun Leids head does look a bit large compared to the head next to it. Seems doubtful it would work on a female body, which is what I feared - so I was going to sculpt my own but needed to find a gas mask. The only correct gas mask I could find in 1/6 scale is the GI Joe or Action Man British WWII soldier gas mask (or a repro that Cotswold sells), but the lenses aren't accurate (more flat to the head than the real thing). Maybe I could mod them.

If you need hose try this:

I made a set of hands for Tzizvvt as well. From original prop pics & stills, they used the same hands for Ponda Baba(as well as Wioslea). I was really torn on just doing the suction cup/flipper hands & recalled the detail hasbro did for the latest Ponda Baba figure's interchangeable hands with the little fingers on the bottom side. It just seemed like a logical explanation for an organic life form in the SW universe to hold something like a cup or blaster...yet alone preform everyday tasks of scum & villainy. After a few discussions with other members(of whom which I value the opinions of-thanks guys), I took the creative liberty to make the digits on the hands. Here are the results.

I'm sure there may be a few not too keen on the idea but worst case scenario, they could be cut & sanded off.

Those look great Duane, awesome stuff. Im glad it was time to unveil them.

You really crank stuff out when you have a break from school/work, I think you should take more breaks. :D

Enaud, your sculpts are amazing! I keep telling myself to take the plunge and start buying them and try to put bodies together later.

Qrest, I "took the plunge" about a year ago (although I am still not brave enough to post my stuff alongside some of these Rock Stars:)) and trust me - you will not regret it. I now have almost all of Duane's incredible sculpts and am anxiously awaiting Tessek (squidhead) and Feltipern (gotal) to become available. If I could suggest Ree Yees as a first timer. I found him pretty amazing to paint - and it gave me confidence to get the rest. If you have old hasbro 12 inch dolls - I have had a blast "repurposing" them and creating new aliens. . . Although I don't remember Hasbro making a "praying mantis" 12 inch. . . . . .Duane are you planning on casting the entire thing? Hint hint ;)
