Now that`s looking great and loving the posing. Also Mark Excellent idea on cutting out some of the boot panelling to make them into something different.

SO painting.... I wash the sculpt in warm soapy water, towel dry and buy it a drink.... then spray it with auto primer. then slap a coat of Beastial brown on... watered down a wee dram so as not to have lumps.. then.... wait.......

Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.

now when that is dry you are gonna slap some Iyanden darksun on! Nurse!!! naaaahhh when you do this you have got to Bob Ross it BIG STYLEE so pop on an afro and get a happy little bush on the go...

Use the paint neat but dab the brush on your old undies or mine if you are lucky enough to been given a pair.

Then BOB ROSS IT!! its all in the wrist and using the tip of the brush go at it hammer and tongs and cover the fu.... ow sorry, chap in paint... by moving the brush as fast as you can the paint will bot go into the gaps.. a bit like dry brushing. My wrists are wrists are quite weak due to a nasty incident whilst combing my hair one summers morning by a disused canal, but thats another story... so I have a man in to do any jobs that require and rapid wrist movements.

Owww yeah "I am gonna beat the devil out of it"

soo I have cooked a meal good enough for jehovah, fed the family and and friends. Lady Snow has gone out with her work chums seeking grown up company I am on my 13th schooner of sherry and have got my music on REALLY loud (with the headphones on) and I have even taken my slipper off raaaahhh I am a beast!!!

So on with the dollie porn painting...

So all the base work is done on Brains now the fun bit the detail...

I am starting with a red wash and an UBER fine detailed brush. I an gonna pick out all the nooks and crannies with the wash... this will be done about 3 times to build up the strength of the red..

Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.

TO pick out the detail I have to use a visual aid due to a mispent youth and not having enough toys to play with my eyesight is nun to good... I did have a cheap nasty headset thingy but my goody lady friend Feroze was concerned for my eyes and bought me these little puppies :) They are fab and they even have a light!!!!

Next the eyes.... you want them so they follow you around the room...
I am just gonna base coat them in a wee drop of watered down white.

Re: Enaud's 1/6 Custom Headsculpts,Etc.

Any finally... before the interlude the last bits is to add the gloss to the eyes and moth... moth!! I usually do a few coats on the eyes..

Last of all I leave the head alone for a bit then look at it in daylight and take close up photos to see if I missed bits.

Also I really recommend a wee head stand holder thing... it stops the paint getting rubbed off whilst you work.. some folks use a matt varnish to seal the paint which is a good idea but I still have not tried it.... I also recommend comfortable shoes (not sling backs) and a pet squirrel.... but thats another story....

I hope this wee tutorial has been useful and I still have much to learn about painting and I am enjoying the journey...
