You dont want hoth soldiers.
Oh, most definitely! I'd go for a couple of those (would much much much much MUCH prefer them over the Endor ones)... but I don't need any old dudes. Sorry, but aside from Jedi, Sith and a politician here and there I plan to practice age discrimination with the characters in this line. :lol

I would say the bigger one would be about 4 ft I would guess. I would like it hollow with an opening door. With rotocasting Im sure they could easily do it. The other one would be more likely as its only about 20" high. I also would want the Rebel blaster rifle in an accessory pack with a bunch of power boxes and rifles and backpacks. Alright so Sidehow can we please have the Dusty Hoth girl and the rest of my wish list ready by SDCC.

Can anyone tell that my favorite sequence is Hoth.

But they have a precidence now to include one old guy with the rebel troops:D .

I guess if they included Sideshow Dusty as Toryn Farr it would be ok to leave him out.

I just thought they were going to stick to this pattern
One old guy
One Sideshow employee
One Generic Soldier grunt.

I do so hope that's a one time thing and NOT a precedence, though. An old trooper once in a blue moon okay, I guess. But I would rather more generic soldiers, as seen in the films. This isn't necessarily "Geriatric Wars".

Besides, other than "Nik Sant" and maybe an ANH pilot or two I can't really think of any other old soldiers from the movies. The rest are all either politicos or force-users.

I don't think the Rebellion (or even the Empire) could afford that many Depends.

:emperor

I can see this being a pattern:

One movie character (Nik Sant)
One Sideshow employee (Brant)
One Generic Soldier grunt (Rodne Leber)

But we don't even know for sure that there will be three figures for each military line installment.

I hope not! At least not all at once again. It could get VERY expensive very quickly with Imperial Troops.

That system really does appeal to all types of collectors. Movie characters for film-only collectors. Generic soldiers for army builders. SS employees for the completists. :D

I think that three of each type of troop would work really good especially for the rebels. I wouldnt mind getting three different imperial troops at a time too. I liked someones idea of making a Utaupa set of Cody, Airborne Trooper and regular Trooper (orange). After doing one regular trooper they could make a Shocktrooper, 501st Trooper and a regular white trooper from the same mold.
Maybe two years from now they could release a 5 bundle pack of AOTC clones. Make the regular the white version and then have a Yellow, Red Blue and Green as exclusive in one set of preorders. Offer them all as a bundle and Im sure they would sell like hotcakes. I just would want it to be an inclusive release for like a day like with the Endor troopers. Have this be like two months worth of figures and Im sure not to many would complain.
Overall I want a lot of troops and I hope we get at least 3 of every type of rebel soldier now that we have 3 of the endor troopers.

BTW the next Rebel troops should be the Hoth Soldiers with Sideshow exclusive figure Sideshow Dusty as Toryn Farr.

This morning at 10:00 AM PST I saw on the Sideshow web site that the Endor Rebel Commando Sergeant was to come with a Blastech A-295 blaster rifle with sling, this afternoon at 3:30 PM PST the Endor Rebel Commando Sergeant now comes with the Endor Rebel Commando A-280 blaster rifle with sling.
So, Sideshow which weapon is the Endor Rebel Commando Sergeant actually going to come with the A-295 or the A-280?

So why did they promote this figure as an exclusive but when you go to order him it says nothing about an exclusive?

Sorry for the confusion. Somehow the Infantry Soldier's description of accessories got posted this morning instead of the Sergeant's. They caught the error at about 10:30am, so it's accurate now. The A-280 is correct, as far as I know!

The figure itself is a domestic Exclusive... there will be no other version of this character released (ie: a regular version). Note the red box on the product page: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=21101

Hope this clears things up a little more! :)

Dusty's correct. The Sergeant is the only version that comes with the A-280; the model based on the M16. The other two have the A-295.
