It seems that everyone liked to clean off the weathering on this skull and go polished chrome. Any reason for this? I love the combat weathering on this and it's got me thinking if I should get one. Busts aren't my thing generally but this is catching my eye.

Same here I think it adds to the bust and I prefer it to the clean version but I still would like both :yess:

So they released more of an item with an open edition, but raised the price? That's pretty jacked up. Pretty positive this was alway like $450 or so... Not $580.

I assumed when the older version sold out, they would make one of these with shoulders like the t600. Pretty lame move, this piece ain't worth over $600 shipped, no way. All said and done, there will prolly be 10,000 of these Endos around. I'll prolly get one for a second time at some point, not at that price though.

The Combat version was my first ever Sideshow piece.
While pretty cool I've always said it's not worth the money.
Especially as I was new to this hobby and ordered from America only to be hit with an extra £100 bill I didn't know about :slap
If I was to sell up I would lose a heap of cash on this bust.

I bought 2 of the combat versions and cleaned one of them and left the other one original, the reason I did it was because the original shiny was going for stupid money on the Bay. This way I have a shiny and a combat without the hefty aftermarket price tag, I also got the t-700 which is basically a t-800 painted black.

Here is a few pics of my combat version which has been polished to achieve the shiny chrome effect...

I just got a BBTS sugguested preorder email haha. Looks like I will PO next month or so. I missed out on the other SS / HCG releases and this will be my first Endoskull.

The new ss site is ****ed and deliberately vague. No edition size, no tba, no limited edition. What is with the white line above the teeth? Is it just me or does it have different teeth to mine?

Nothing to do with this thread but I concur....I absolutely hate SS new website design, it blows!

I'll be definitely putting in a PO for the re-release bust, never really had one on my radar before so this re-release will be unexpected but welcome addition to my collection :yess:

The first one wasn't number as the new one won't be.
I noticed this wasn't even marked Limited Edition, was the original?
Drop the LE and they can revisit the same piece whenever they want... I think they'll do it with pieces marked LE anyway as who's to say how many it's limited to or for how long.
I really can't see me ordering anything else from SS, after the P2.
Their tactics, bigger ES- more OE- poor CS- awful QC- blatant lying about low stock and sold out items, aren't doing them any favours.
Lots of new collectors coming into the game might save them but I, for one, am starting to dislike SS...a lot!
Rant over! :yess:
