congratz to all you combat version owners.

this video probably made your day.

Although you can clean the combat up a bit, the original version seems like it is MORE clean. And you can always tell an original from a cleaned combat one, based on the rainbow effect that the original has. Which to me is pretty cool.

Do you have both? If so, do you have any side by side shots of a cleaned combat version and an original?

That's the EXACT thing I was gonna post!!! Lol!
Side by side pics would be great! Lets see side by side of the front, sides and back!

Great minds...:D

I saw the iridescent effect on a Youtube review of a clean one and it looked like an electroplating defect. If it was intentional, I'm not sure why. The reviewer said there were varying degrees of intensity from piece to piece and the reaction was mixed.

Seems to me a cleaned combat version without the iridescence would be more in keeping with what was shown on film.

EDIT: Now I understand why they did it...simulated heat effects on metal. Makes sense now, especially after he sat there and burned for a while in the movie.

I am sorry I do not have both. But, from what I see in photos, the difference is the rainbow effect and the original is MORE clean.

Fellas, I just did another video addressing some of your questions to my original how-to video. It's processing right now and I'll get it up once it's downloaded into youtube.

This is false simply due to the fact of the existing rainbow on the original clean bust. A "clean" combat when done correctly is literally so chromed out that it is a MIRROR. lol Whereas the original clean will have the rainbow haze effect.

I was wrong? It is hard sometimes to judge just by seeing photos.

Thank you for having the cojones to test this method out on one of yours and share the information, it is appreciated.

You can tell by comparing videos of the clean, and the battle clean. I just want to make it clear that both endos are SICK SICK works of "art", I am just partial to the 100% chrome look myself.

Ok, so I just bit the bullet and paid for one ! Should have it at the start of next week

Congrats! good form :rock

Many of us are, too. In addition, I'd prefer it didn't have the iridescent coating that the cleans came with, so a cleaned combat version fits the bill.

Your example in the video looks really good (same with the other cleaned combat versions posted here).

absolutely love the chrome look best. I saw the videos on youtube. I do think that solidsnakes skull (in his video review) is SUPER bright chrome as compared to the video of the guy who cleaned his battle damaged.

I just had to share mine with you. CLick on the image.

thanks for the photo

looks SOOOOOOOOO nice :banana

can't wait to start the process :chew
