This was the first item I wanted to buy when I got into the idea of owning a endoskull several months agoHi guys, just received the endo at my door an hour ago.
First impression, overall finishing is fantastic. The Endoskeleton is very heavy compared to the recast.
When placed side by side, the recast look like an absolute abomination. The light up function comes with sound effect, which I did not expect.
I'm really happy with the purchase, will be looking to sell off the recast to fund for the non-bd version.
Those teeth bug me so much lol.has anyone tried painting/modifying the teeth on their HCG endoskull? I feel bad thinking of it, but damn, those teeth are so cheap looking.
heres a pic of when I was cleaning it, ( no its not the BD one - jsut got oddly hazey sitting in a garage). If it wasnt for the chrome metalizing paint, my 3d printed ones would look better because I use real acyrlic teeth so the end result is fantastic/real.
So... i feel i should share a backstory. Long time fan as a kid, still love the films, etc. I was educating my nephew about termiantor when discussing cool characters, and I suddenly came across the endoskulls. I wanted one. Quickly realized there was a strong collector followng and at the time would never pay that much. Found some endo threads and got so interested- decided to learn 3D printing just to make my own, or try to. Attempting Endoskulls and a 1:1 full scale Terminator has literally been my first and only prints I keep playing with, or attempted. Long story short, I keep putting off finsihing all the endoskulls/skeletons because I want to be 100% ready to commit to painting them... in the mean time i keep looking at T800 threads and my hyperfixation wont let me stop and I ended up buying several collector heads anyways! I even ended up getting the SS endo-arm for free after I recived it smashed from shipping-i glued it back and its pretty unnoticible! LOL. So much money spent on my impulses, I try to tell myself I got "BARGAINS" but man.... i know i over did it. ... oh well, im having fun. Those teeth bug me so much lol.
Would love to see some pics of your 3D printed endoskull out of curiosity. I have a 3D printed one which I've pretty happy with, but the lack of legit chrome finish makes it hard to compare.
Damn, you got a whole skynet factory in the works there haha.So... i feel i should share a backstory. heres some of my unfinished heads, jsut to show you the teeth. Be nice, total newbie and these have been my first ever ( never printed or model/sculpted anythigng- and I just started a few months ago casually. Not all the teeth are placed in the same way- some skulls have straight teeth, others are protruding a bit - but you get the general idea of what I was playing with.
So far the "bargain" ( lol yeah right ) endoskulls I have now is:
SS combat ( may clean it with nail polish )
HCG
SS T700
SS T600 Bust
Chronicle COllectible Endoskull
And some smaller endoskull in a plexiglass case that looks like a mini HCG - forgot who makes it.
then you count my 1:1 prints I plan to spray with alclad, etc .... Im doing too much lol...as with any hobby i get into
yeah just when I told myself time to save/invest i blow so much on printers, printing materials, tools, DIY cabinets/bench to house them, collectible heads, etc ....Damn, you got a whole skynet factory in the works there haha.
Appreciate the back story mate, actually sounds a bit similar to mine in terms of recently getting into the collecting hobby based off a love of Terminator, and then branching out into 3D printing. I see you have the Bambu A1 mini as well - I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and have been playing with it non-stop.
I look forward to following your progress
100%. It's addictive, but so much fun!yeah just when I told myself time to save/invest i blow so much on printers, printing materials, tools, DIY cabinets/bench to house them, collectible heads, etc ....
oh well lol
Paitning them is my next feat.... and after that, I met a patient of mine who is a bronze sculpture and he invited me to his shop to play with clay. Im gonna bring a endoskull and ask him what would it take for him to cast it in metal ( i know its a tedious process after watch futuretech )
