Even given what I know about the process, I can't think of any way that a Chewbacca figure (I'm assuming you're looking for 1:6, but even 1:4, with faux fur) will ever be done using today's technology. It would be cost-prohibitive. I know, for example, that I won't be paying $600 for a 14" action figure.
DONT WANT to SETTLE for a kotobukyia chewbacca statue, I WANT MY CHEWBACCA HOT TOYS PLEASE !!!
