It's not just the '3', it's the accessories and weapons too. No matter how we dissect it, this is a straight up Robocop 3 release for $500 to $600 (maybe more depending on shipping).
People hate Robocop 3, I sort of got the idea that Enterbay kind of got that and felt the same the way they teased the figure . . . until the very end. His big *** jet pack is from Robocop 3. His machine gun arm is from Robocop 3. His Battle Damage is from Robocop 3. His headsculpt/facesculpt is Burke. That's more than half the accessories right there. That's the majority.
Sure, people are going to say, "meh, I'll just keep all the Robocop 3 stuff in the box", but that doesn't change the fact that you just paid $500+ for a Robocop 3 figure. Know what I mean? You're essentially paying more for filler. Dropping the Burke head, jetpack and interchangable chest alone from R&D and production would drop the price down significantly.
What would you have rather had, Original Robocop for $380-$400 (T-1000 sparse, no interchangeable gimmicks) or Robocop 3 for $500 to $600?
Sure this is smaller at 1/6, but it seems just as good, if not better to me (and cheaper). Scale aside, it seems to have the same presence. You could get two of the Hot Toys (covering both clean and ED-209 damaged looks) for the price of an Enterbay Robocop 3.
I'd sooner buy a Robocop with a cartoon/animated license than Robocop 3.
Weller face plates or not (if the final product even has those ), seeing the Robocop 3 title, Robocop 3 backgrounds, and Robocop 3 specific look and gear leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Taints the release in my opinion.
I don't hate Burke and I do think that unmasked portrait is great, but I just have to ask . . . why? Robocop 3 blows.
Oh come on. You get a very nice Robocop figure out of this if you add the PW mouthplate and leave off the jetpack. This is just getting silly now. So what if the box says Robocop 3.
UPDATE!
I found out what the special gift is. A battel damaged helmet from Robocop2

This pose is killer for the EB Robocop!!
After checking all the available pictures, neither EB nor HT armor is perfect but I have come to this conclusions (detail and accuracy oriented):
-EB has the size, the sharpness and policromatic paint scheme. Many rivets are missing, details and forms are wrong or nor correctly positioned, some shapes are off.
-HT is much more accurate than EB, they got all the forms, angles, little details going on the oroginal Rob Bottin design. A lot of rivets are missing. Paint seems to be well done but not as impressive as EB. Biggest issue is they produced it in metal casted metal and it is not as sharp as plastic, due to production issues rivets are soft and some are not even there. Plus the joints between the parts are much bigger and noticeable.
Since I'm very accuracy oriented, either I get the HT one, add the rivets, fill the gaps and repaint or I buy the EB to correct a lot of details, plus having to repaint all armor. Not an easy choice
EB Robo's helmet (shape) is more accurate than HT's as well. Good point on the details not being as sharp due to the die-cast. I might end up getting both of these though!
I think they should upgrade the paint apps. In the phone the picture looks like taken from the NECA toy
