I have now just removed the back of his head! :panic: The hair on the back can be taken off with a little force and breaking of glue much like the panel on the back of DX10's head. I will take pics.

cool. we must eliminate the fro. I will do the same, after I see your pics. I get tired of looking up at mine to hide the top of his head. Why did EB put so much hair up there. :cuckoo:

P.S. I am watching T2 right now and EB was not even close with this hair.:thud:

I think they corrected the problem with the BD figure, from what pics I've seen. But it only makes it even more annoying on this figure.

I'm not sure yet what I'll do or if I'll do anything. Unless I'm in some way confident of success I don't want to carve up such an expensive figure.

I haven't done anything irreperable yet, well apart from that paint rubbing on the neck, I'm no painter. But I'm sure the back of the head can be put back on with the aid of glue if necessary and the head itself can be put back on I'm quite sure.

About the pics, better leave that till tomorrow or sunday. I started this far far too late. But pics would definitely be useful to guys like r5150s who was at one point planning a mod.

You need to have a gameplan before taking anything off. It needs to be shaved, resculpted, and repainted....:horror :lol

:horror Wow a-dev you really do have a hair fedish, I would never have the guts to do that to a 400+ figure. I am envious of your set, scared for you and interested to see your pics all at the same time:panic:

I'm not feeling too good about having done it at the moment. May have been for nothing because I'm not sure what I had thought of doing would work. The hair strands of the 2 seperate pieces fit together in a very specific way. Interfering with that might create some new ugliness or other unforeseen problems. However I'll still photograph it and the inside of his head even if I don't take this any further.

maybe we could ask EB to release a new undamaged headsculpt, dont want scuderias work to go waste on a BD head only, even im Kinda disappointed with my EB t800 head,
will they just release a new head alone

Any shaving I had in mind to be internal; that the back hair would be able to slide further 'into and under' the frontal hair section - making it puff out less at the crown and at the back. This is what sushi and shadowfla did with the HT DX10. It was my hope that no resculpting or even repainting would be required at all.

If there is someway to get the top of the head hot without melting it and slowly kinda munipulate the hair down a bit. Maybe shaving some plastic inside the sculpt, so it is easier to move, yet doesn't damage the outside paint & details...... Where is SUSHI, we should ask him his opinion.:lol

Yeah. I'm worried about the shaving. What if the tool slips, what if I go too far and end up punching through to the outside of the sculpt. Do I even want to attempt any of this when I've only got one and haven't got the BD figure yet whose hair I could use as a guide to how I want to get this figure's hair.

can you post some pics of the hair separated ? I started this project before I left for work and I shaved it a bit already..just need to resculpt and paint when I get back...

I will, multiple pics, either late tonight or tomorrow. If I can't do it I'd like to see if someone with more skill and courage can.

It will always puzzle me that they never spotted that rather obvious imperfection in the approval stage!

I'm going to use that american expression ''I know, right?''

Anyone who complains about this figure has that complaint. So its not like theres nothing in it.

I applaud what HT did with DX10, but damn if this figure ain't Arnie right out of the movie, man it's such a great looking figure.

Nice pics buddy :duff

Wicked pics them!!!

I wonder will the price of this figure go up with the new one coming out?!

Probably...I see it as a very different take on T 800..real leather- just a different look.
Alot of folks seem to be seeing this figure alot more important to the T2 collection than they thought once the BD T 800 came along...
