now thats a freaken nice repaint!! kinda over did the aftershave though..

,.. i agree with snake,,,.. good re paint,.,,,. but the aftershave is a bit too much,.. i like the original paint job better in this one,...looks more subtle.. ,.. but nice nonetheless!!,..

My Bruce arrived today as expected (number 2653) and all I can say is,WOW!!!!. After finally plucking up the courage to open it (I was worried I might damage something as it's not the cheapest item to replace lol!) I was totally blown away, this is by far the best collectible I've ever owned, everything about it just screams quality, from the packaging to the diorama to the figure itself, the BL-01 body may not have the most articulation but you can still get a great range of poses and it doesn't have any ugly looking joints that the majority of other 1/6 bodies have. The paintjob on the head has been criticised by some and the repaints do look slightly better, but I'm fine with it as it is and the sculpt is even more amazing in person than in pics. The outfit may be pretty simple but it's very, very well executed, the work in the sneakers is unlike anything I've seen, though that may be due to the fact I've not been collecting 1/6 figs long especially high end ones. I'm very picky with what I buy and it doesn't take much to put me off a line of figures but if the quality of the rest of the Enterbay Bruce Lee figures is this good I'm very tempted to buy at least one from each film. Was it overpriced? Probably, but I'd sooner pay out for a figure that's not hampered by dodgy paintjobs that ruin the sculpt, badly made attire that needs a load of messing around with just to get it to look like it fits properly, poor quality accessories that break when you so much as attempt to put the item on the figure (SS Han Solo's gunbelt anyone?) or piss poor base bodies that make even some basic poses impossible. I've seen my 1/6 collecting future and it's unlikely to be Sideshow unless they vastly improve things. Ranting aside I have a question for fellow Bruce Lee owners and that's regarding the swappable eyes,Is there a knack to getting them out as I wasn't able to do it and didn't want to try forcing them in case I damaged them.

Congratulations bcm77. It is awesome, isn't it.

There is no trick to removing the eyes. Force is the way. The eyes on mine were tight too. Once you remove them, the first time, they slip in and out easily. I used pointy tweezers and leverred them out. You could use pointy nose pliers or open out a paper clip and use that. As I said, once they have been removed it is easy to swap them over by hand.

OK thanks for that,I'll have another go using some tweezers. I've sent an e-mail to Enterbay asking them whether they are planning on releasing any of the other characters from the Bruce Lee movies as they would look great on display with the various Bruce figs so it'll be intresting to see what they say. Imagine the awesomeness of a Way Of The Dragon Chuck Norris or the immense size (not to mention price) of a Game Of Death Kareem Abdul Jabbar :D

UPDATE- I got a reply to my questions from Enterbay and they said they're intrested in producing other Bruce Lee movie characters possibly as early as next year depending on licensing issues. I also asked about the possibility of Arnie Kim's Indiana Jones being made and it is also a figure they are intrested in making.

does enterbay do any other figures besides bruce?

I gotta give you guys credit, yall got some ballz for dropping that much cash on a figure. congrats!

Let's consolidate what we know so far. Bruce Lee, 8 styles from 5 films, and a Cato from the Green Hornet TV series.

What else? An Indiana Jones and a, hmmm can't think of the other non Bruce Lee item that was shown at around the time of the SDCC.

That they were shown doesn't necessarily mean they will eventuate, but let's hope so.
