Thanks for sharing your thoughts Creech... seems like both figures are great, but as with all 1/6 there is still room for some improvement.

Yeah, thanks Creech. I have to admit I've thought from the off set there would only be a gnats bollock between these two and your summary kind of spells that out. Looking forward to reviewing him though.

And validated, educated opinion wins :lol :horror:gun:banana
Any side by side piccies?

Just keep me on your ignore list.

Yes there certainly is.

It makes me wonder if the 'battle' caused for some short cuts to be taken, and who was more worried by the challenge. I think Enterbay just went about their business as usual, because, for whatever reason, their figure came out pretty standard for an Enterbay figure and at an Enterbay price. I think it was too late for them to make any cost effective changes other than changing the sculpt perhaps. I think they used the same shoes, socks :lol, pants and belt as ol' Bean. Even the rose was positioned too high on the lapel. Hot Toys, on the other hand, changed their whole deal by including the diorama and extra base. I was pretty happy I pre-ordered it, because the shipping went up another $10.

The smaller details on HT's, such as the glossy stripe down the sides of his pants and around his coat pocket are hardly noticeable but more classy. Enterbay has it's features too, such as the buttons on the coat sleeves and handkerchief pocket but Hot Toys takes the win easily. No one is going to see the metal components of the Enterbay chair and say the quality is better because the plastic Hot Toys one looks, and is, more practical.

I'm looking forward to your review as well. I'm predicting you'll find that that gnat can't fly with such big bollocks. Pictures can't convey how different these two are when you actually have them in hand. Comparing them, side by side, and deciding, no longer presents an issue. Having either one by itself will surely have you pleased with your purchase.
I have to admit the Enterbay figure is starting to grow on me, but even so, I'd have to advise anyone to stick with the Hot Toys version. The TT body is much easier to manipulate. It is a more presentable, displayable package.
:lol

For having a sense of humour, here's a couple of quick snaps. Please don't criticize the lack of futzing of the collar etc I don't have that sort of time. It took me long enough to extract the Hot Toys figure out of it's coffin. The black clothing hides a lot of it,so I have to be thankful for that.

WOW does the EB chair look crappy compared to HT! But the HT cat looks tiny compared to EB.........you just can't win! There doesn't seem to be much neck on the EB one either; kinda looks like he's slouched or shrugging his shoulders.

It's all an optical illusion. The smaller chair makes the cat look bigger. Really, only the head is bigger and the body only marginally larger. The same with the shoulders, I'd say. The crappy camera and the black is the cause of lack of definition. The cut of the suit doesn't help much either. The Enterbay has shiny lapels and the 'rib' isn't done with as much finesse as the HT, aiding the cramped look. As a display, you're probably not going to position the figure side on.

Thanks Creecher for your point of view. After this "battle" I guess the worst enemy of Hot Toys is not Enterbay, is itself.
Every step of HT will checked and the fanboys won't give a chance to their faults. Like the headsculpt o Mark I. Lot of people have got disapointed with the painting of the head, but even with fault it is a wonderful piece.

Fair enough. I guess the HT one just seems to exaggerate the otherwise unnoticeable flaws of the EB one in that pic.

Well, whatever it is, HT or EB, both were good and it's just the matter of your own appetite and brands priority

"Because a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." - Don Corleone (The Godfather, 1972)

FATHER vs VADER

"My cat!!! My cathhh!!! Giver her back to me!"
"USE THE FORCE OLD MAN!"

"I can't use the force, but I can FORCE you to give her back to me!! ... Sonny!! Call Bonasera, I need him now!!!
"I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH DISTURBING!"

I personally loved the Enterbay version most. Because Enterbay always delight me with their quality of perfection (almost btw  )

Looks like it's turned out great, kind of swings and roundabouts in terms of having a favourite!

Great pictures.
Can't wait until I get mine. Hopefully it'll be here this month!

And that Mr. Bean looks so good. Damn it! ;)

Thanks mates for the responses! Really appreciate it! :D

By the way... I think this Enterbay Godfather is a very Charismatic figure.. every gesture, every movement we posed to him seems very realistic just as if he's alive lol :lol Just like the EB Mr.Bean he's also got his own comedic charisma lol :lol

about the clothing, it's true if Enterbay sometimes got some swirl from the sewing, it also happened a lot with the Enterbay fist of fury, I got some swirls especially at the end of the wrist hand clothing part, but that was okay not a big problem I think, just need to cut it, and Voila~ clean and smooth lol :lol My godfather also got a few swirls at that area from his white shirt, but it's just a few :) Maybe that's one of the mass production risk :lol

By the way, about the PEN any idea why did Enterbay give us PEN? and Postcard.. lol :lol because at the end I just want to keep those pen n postcard as collectibles. The Pen is not bad, it's heavy and not using ball, it's using liquid ink.. (I don't know the name) seems like Parker, mont blanc etc maybe.. lol :lol
