Well, that is why I suggest a mixed medium piece. Metal for the leg struts and select fittings on the cannon, plastic (and a higher grade plastic than the mechno chair, sturdier stuff like they use for the figure bodies) for the cannon chamber. The weight of the metal would give the cannon "presence" and would produce a high level of detail, the plastic would help keep production costs reasonable. I don't see a downside?

Actually am having the same problem with my piece.
However if you notice, components making up the Mechno-chair are made of difference types of plastic material. The hind legs are made of softer plastic that eventually goes out of shape bearing weight from the Holographic Sidious piece which is considerably heavy.
I think Polystone might not be the best choice here. I would wonder how well will the joints work and dropping the piece would be unthinkable.
Edit: We have already quite a few cases of breakages with the Emperor's Throne here. I am really having reservation about Polystone with moving parts.
