Unless Oculus paid them, they'll get it on everything. I'm sure they'll be putting it on PS4 with Morpheus when that comes out.
Oculus just needs to come out already...
I can't wait to try this. Good times ahead for gaming with the various VR headsets on the way. This, an Oculus/Vive and my Thrustmaster Warthog is something I can't even begin to imagine without actually trying it out..

I've played a lot of Elite, and I've owned a TrackIR 5 for years so I'm not new to head tracking. I can't play stuff like this or flight sims without it in fact anymore. But I suspect VR is a huge leap forward from that, they just need to nail down the resolution otherwise I'd have purchased a dev kit already. As it stands, you can't really read the cockpit dials in DCS from what I've read, and that is pretty important for a study level combat sim like that. I can't wait to try it out properly..
are they bad for your eyes? since phones & tabs are already bad enough when you read them close, these VR headset pretty much point blank from your eyes.
i probably worry to much though.

VR hmds don't hurt your eyes because of how the lenses work. They are focused in a way that doesn't put any strain on your eyes. You can relax your eyes and just look around like you do in real life. It doesn't feel at all like staring at a screen right in front of your eyes.
yes it doesn't feel like staring at a screen, but in reality your eyes are focused on the same distant all the time because the screen position is fixed. isn't this how nearsightedness is developed?
also i don't get how having the screen so close to the eyes is actually healthier than staring at a 40" TV few feet away, the amount of light going into your eyes all the time while wearing it can't be better than a TV unless you are sitting right infront of the TV.
