Ever thought about doing a public vote on a pose or costume for a statue?

So i got to thinking, once or twice a year it'd be cool for Sideshow to have a multiple choice vote that the customers and fans of Sideshow could vote on that would directly affect production of a piece.

For example. If you were to do a PF of Galen 'Starkiller' Marek from The Force Unleashed games you could hold a vote wherein the voters could choose from a selection of the costumes he wore in the games and the costume with the most votes is what the PF would feature.

Conversely another vote could be to provide conceptual images of different poses the PF could be in and have the majority voters decide on the pose for the eventual statue.

This done sparingly would give the fans some involvement on the process.

What d'ya think?

no point in it. Would just turn into another closed thread of nothing but arguing... :monkey1

Not here but An official poll on their site, advertised on Facebook and kept open for a good while to get the best results.

Once or twice a year certainly wouldn't interfere with their usual practices and it'd give customers more interaction and involvement.

It'd be cool to see six drawings of poses for a character have the option to vote for your favourite and then have the most desired pose become the choice for the statue. I mean sometime Sideshows poses are plain bad, like Rinzler, what could it hurt to give it a shot?

if this was at all possible, i think most collectors would be all for it. but if such a company as sideshow would even consider giving the collectors that sort of creative input is another story that does not seem realistic. it is a wonderful idea though.

That will never happen sideshow don't care about you or what do you like, buy whatever they have or look somewhere else.If they really would care they could at least prime the statues before painting them. But they need to save $0.25 on each statue.

The CS is top notch no complains there.
