Everything Transformers that isn't G1 sucks

I wonder about the scale. As big as Optimus? Starscream? Slightly larger than an Alternator?

As I've said before, I can't stand the guy and won't buy, but I'm still curious as to how they plan on moving this line forward beyond the incessant repaints. I guess he'll be small and out of scale in relation to Prime as Grimlock was.

he'll be the same size as grimlock and the seekers. the only reason that prime and megatron are bigger than the others is because they are prime and megatron.

Would be awesome if it was a 2-in-1. Starscream sized Hot Rod, then when the armor comes on he could be closer to Prime in size. Takara is more then capable of doing something like that, just look at their Brave Yuusha Masterpieces.

Maybe Takara will "steal" FansProject's Protector concept and Hot Rod will be Alternator sized, then parts of his trailer will turn into the armor to bulk him up to be Rodimus?

That would rock, and probably look better than FansProject's take as well, since they can afford to make it look closer to the original character.

been waiting for a new MP for ages! not really into the seekers but i do have takara hasbro MP starscream,prime and megs! waiting to see if hasbro grimlock looks any good! would be so happy if the next MP was hot rod or galvatron!

with galvatron i can remember simon furman saying that G1 cartoon galvatron was the first TF with 'human like contours'-rounded edges such as his thighs and arms-he wasnt squared off like the rest of the TF'S so it makes me wonder if they could recreate a g1 accurate MP galvatron! although saying that,the galvatron custom on ebay a few back had the rounded off body/features and looked decent!

I picked up the Classics Skywarp loose...can't say I like it too much. I would rather pick up the Henkei version, I like the purple more than the magenta that was used on the US version. Anyone want to sell me your Henkei Transformers?

Regarding my feelings toward G1:

My love for everything related to G1 (comics, toys, cartoon, etc.) has been pretty much constant. While I appreciate and enjoy the other series, I become most excited about reimaginings of G1 characters. I truly loved the classics, masterpiece and alternators lines.

However, my feelings toward the original show have changed. It goes like this:

As a kid: This transformers show is the most awesome thing EVER!

As a college student: I feel nostalgic. Let's watch some G1. Wow, these kinda suck. Not as great as I remember. I want something more MATURE.

As a 30 yr. old man: You know, these G1 cartoons remind me of simpler times where adventure lurked around every corner. They are kinda FUN!

Guy on TFW bought the iGear Faith Leader, and here's what he had to say:

Alright So I picked up Prime and I was super excited but....... its something I could probably live without. I'm REALLY happy that I didn't let my MP-04 go now because having this version really makes me realize how perfect (can't help with the size..) that figure is.

Not to say its bad but its like Peaugh said, it feels cheap. Personally, it doesn't feel as awesome as say a Fansproject Transformer. When I got City Commander and Springer, they felt like 80-100 dollar toys. This Prime doesn't feel like that at all.

Honestly, its a great stand in if you want a Classics size G1 Prime but this figure doesn't belong with the MP Transformers AT ALL. I probably would have liked it if I didn't own all the other MP figures but since I do......

It just doesn't fit.

EDIT: i'm Probably being to critical of it but i'll hold onto it for a few days to see if it grows on me.
