The damage alters the surface chemically (changing its appearance) and is irreversible. So, yeah, something is definitely needed. :chew

now if you have high humidity,direct sun and dust,..then there's another story,...dust alone doesn't damage the statue finish,.,.. my uncle used to work in a museum where no sunlight or high humidity were allowed,..but they never had a problem with dust,..... and he can testify about that,...:chew :chew :chew
,...cases r cool and makes the figures looking nice,...but i prefer to save my money and buy more stuff,..!!
