Nice pics from both of you. Congrats.

I've asked this before, but in the movie his cape goes under the collar piece. All the photos I've seen (even Sideshow's) have it over. Is it not possible to have the cape go under so it's not covering the collar up?

I could answer this question myself if I had mine.

I attempted to put the cape behind the collar. Not sure if it is a good look, though...

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

well i cancelled the Grievous yesterday due to not being able to put him anywhere... with a 18" x 24" footprint... i just dont have the place to put him

So a wait list conversion will be happening soon!

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Even though I think the character was shoe-horned into the story of ROTS for little other reason than selling lots of merchandise there's no denying the PF Grievous is an amazing piece. I wish the comic shops round my way would get some more PF's in stock as the only one I've seen is Tony Montana which was cool but it's the Star Wars ones I'm most intrested in seeing in person.

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Delicate! Delicate! You guys are driving me nuts! I hate delicate! Since I don't have the room to display GG, I have to put him back into the box. And I have to take him out and put him together to check for flaws! As much as I was looking forward to receiving him, now I'm nervous!
Seeing your pictures, I have noticed that GG's arms in the back are positioned much lower than on the SSC product pictures. Or, is it just the position of the hands of those 2 arms? Can it be adjusted?

Check out the position of the lightsabers in the back:

What a pity, I prefer the SSC position.

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

I just got my Grievous today!!! 97!!
WOW I can't believe how cool he looks in person and how big he is, one of my favorite pieces. I agree the cape is not really a must have but it is cool being able to display him with it.
If Sideshow doesn't win a bunch of Best of 2006 awards with releases
like this then something is wrong. It is a truely amazing piece. My grail arrives tomorrow so will be intresting to see how that compares to it. But Grievous is the best PF in the Star Wars line as of yet.
10 out of 10!!!

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Wow Batty! I'm in love too! Awesome pics! Wat camera are you using?

I can't wait for my GG to arrive!:monkey5

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Nice pictures Batty! I actually took the cape off mine so it won't get dust on it. I am thinkinig about buying a case for it. I also like your massive CD collection.

Thanks guys.

It's a Nikon Coolpix 4200. Far from anything high-end. I hope to upgrade one day. It's not easy to get indoor shots without a flash.

My problem is still finding a permanent place for it. The base is a lot bigger than I was expecting and it just barely fits where I have it now. I put it on a table just for the photos.

As far as my CD collection...it's obscene. :lol I started buying CDs in 1987 or '88. And now I have over 3000. I should post a pic of the whole collection. I have a few of my SS figures on top and it takes up almost a whole wall.

I think I'm in love with Grievous. Don't tell my wife!

I like your new avatar -- best of all worlds.

OK, so I have a question, and this is not questioning how cool Grievous looks with Vader. I'm just curious what the actual height difference is (in the reality of the movies). I've been toying with the idea of a Grievous 1/6th custom that's why I'm curious about what height to make him. Grievous looks huge sometimes, towering over Anakin aboard the Invisible Hand even when he's hunched over. However, in the above picture, he looks smaller than Vader. Would you say that is accurate scale to one another?

Well grievous is hanging forward a little bit. While vader is hanging back so the height difference would be close. I think grievous is just a little bit higher.

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

I just popped the DVD in and it looks like Grievous is at least six inches taller than Anakin. When he sort of straightens up he looks about a foot taller. (I like the crack Anakin makes about Grievous being shorter than he expected.) When he's wearing the cape (in the movie) he definitely has more of a bulky look.

So the PFs are close, but Grievous probably should be a little taller. I think they are in scale to each other because his lightsabers are the same size as Vader's. But believe me, I'm certainly not complaining.

Thanks to Tom for making my new avatar. :chew

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Thanks for checking it out. Batty.

I just looked Grievous' height up and the Official SW site has him listed at 7'1" (standing fully upright) while Vader is of course 6'7"... so when hunched I imagine Grievous is pretty close in height to Vader, so the PF's are pretty accurate. Good to know, isn't it?

I would love to have a BOBA FETT to pose with my other two favorite villains, VADER and GRIEVOUS. They would look so wicked all lined up.

3000+ CDs!! WOW!! You should post some more pics of both you SS collection and your CD collection!

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Two quick pics of my CD collection. That's just a very few of my SS figures on top. One day I'll get around to photographing my entire collection. It's pretty big and I need to organize things a little more.

The racks are 7' tall and 6' wide. I couldn't get a shot of them from the floor up. I still have stacks of discs here and there.

Okay, I don't want to hijack this thread, so here's one more of Grievous:

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

Geez. I thought I had a big CD collection. Mine is about half that size! When my wife complains that I am buying to much music I'll just point her in your direction Batty... The pics are great too. Wish I had the dough for a GG.:monkey2

Re: Exclusive Grievous Picture Thread

I'm not even going to tell you how many DVDs I have. :monkey4

I've cut way down on my CD and DVD buying habit. I do listen to music every day.
