Mirror Spock production have started.

ETD: 1st week of March

But I have planned out some more surprises before MSpock delivery. 2 figures with limited production will be up for sale in late Feb.

This will be a surprise release so as little as possible collectors can buy. Yes. As little as possible. You read it right.

Don't know yet. I have 2 sets of figures, whichever comes first. One set will have normal price, but one set will have unbelievable price that only existed about 15-18 years ago.

They are not standard uniformed figures. No point to collect unless you are diehard fans like me.

Only diehard Trek dudes will consider them as awesome figures. Rest, ignore this release.

Nanjin has truly peaked my curiosity! A price from 15-18 years ago would be very low indeed… Especially given the skyrocketing prices that 1/6 figures have been experiencing! I’m having fun speculating what characters could be done at that price point.

Nanjin, can you offer any hints as to which series these will come from?

Yes, i also thought EXO could implement a subscription service and it might work out well for buying from them direct. You commit to the PO for any new figure, and they have an immediate production baseline. If you hate the figure, cancel, and they keep the PO like usual.

I dunno. If you mean one sub for every Exo figure...I can only speak for myself in that it only makes sense if you're a true completist. I guess it depends on how many of those fans there are. 10 cancelled orders is a whole figure, after all. Do I want to waste that kinda money canceling every DSC and PIC figure?? gulp..
I suspect most collectors have some set of figures/series they feel the same about.

Now if you could subscribe per series... that would be more interesting.

That's still tough, because even within a certain series, you might not want every figure. For example, in a Voyager line, someone mentioned making a Hirogen. I'd have no interest in that. But I'd kill for a Post-Op Seska.

Maybe the better thing would be to have a subscription type model where you pay a fee that gives you first dibs. So something like this:

1. I subscribe, let's say for 10 figures.
2. I get an email from EXO-6 unveiling the next figure, with an option to apply my subscription to it.
3. I have a certain amount of time - a day or two, considering the timeline here - to accept or reject.
4. If I accept, that figure has my fee applied and is reserved for me, and my figure count goes down to 9.
5. When it's released, we get the "pay off balance" email as normal.
6. If I reject, I don't get that figure or I have to fend off the wolves to get it day-of like we do now.

I'd pay a bit to get that kind of option.

Yes, exactly, we don't live in perfect world especially for Trek. Able to survive within Trek merchandise already a blessing. Having these amazing priced and quality figures must paid a price.... like everything else.

Good things don't last or always available, just like those people and things that we missed in our life journey. This is natural human experiences.

Standard, high demand, characters that everyone wants wouldnt have any problem. Only die hard Trek fans like me will be in a bit of distress.

This will make us value what we have a lot more and remind us:

“The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.”

We all understand the above, and EXO-6 1/6 Trek can not avoid that, can we?

What you see on your shelves will not ever show up ever again in the distance future, at least not in our life time.

By mid next year, EXO-6 will be the only company that can do high quality 1/6 Trek because any new comer will not have any chance of profitability.

The Captains will nail this as a fact. Once they are in position no one will be interested in picking up the license.

The only thing I would ask is that you somehow screen out scalper bots. You can't screen individuals, of course, but I'd hate to see these things pop up on eBay immediately for 3x the price when people who really want miss out.

By coincidence "Mirror, Mirror" was on last night. I can't wait for this line of figures.

I can easily be content with Spock, Kirk and Uhura versions but would welcome more.
